| Does anyone still believe we can avoid Admin??
I refuse to believe it's going to happen and think we might all be in for a shock come Tuesday
Many will not agree but I'm fed up with all the negativity surrounding the bulls at the minute so here's to thread that's still holding on to hope...

| I applaud your optimism ( That's visual evidence), amongst the plethora of posts on these boards going into detail about the why's, what's and who's to blame for the whole mess...
...sadly I can't help but put you in the same catagory as those musicians that were playing on the Titanic until the very end...
(Further visual evidence)
Having said that, I would much prefer your outcome to the alternatives (As infinitely more realistic as they may be)

| In a word No!!!
My only hope is that we have a pre-pack with someone waiting in the wings to agree to fund the club while they buy it, rather than sell Bateman, although that may well happen in the off season. One indicator that this is the way this will play out is no one, not even Guilfoyle, saying this could be the Bulls last match. If there was no buyer waiting in the wings, and given he has acknowledged we have no assets other than players, to sell, would be the obvious outcome I believe.
Top 8 will go with 6 point penalty which is a crying shame for the players who apart from 3 games I can think off this year (Cats, Pies home, Sts away) have punched well beyond their weight given the injury problems we've had.

| With my big cynic hat on, Admin was coming as soon as Caisley pop'd his head back up.
I'd not be surprised if there isn't a pre-pack all lined up and this looking for investment hasn't been a full on search but rather a cursory nod towards making it not look like it was already planned

Potential fire sale on your best players whilst in Admin the administrator has make sure staff get paid or they will become jobless and its unlikely you will be able to dictate transfer fees, the administrator will also want a fee out of the process I am not sure on the legality of the players contracts in admin for instance do they have to be re-emplyed by the new company? So anyone off contract this year could be thrown to the wolves (not The Wolves team). Goning to be real roller coaster with al sorts of speculation and dealings going on, the one problem of course is who will buy the club with no assets?

While we were in admin they sold some of our players, one being Dale Ferguson, to Hudds for £5,000.

| To answer the question in the opening post, I very much doubt it
Everything we are hearing seems to smack of 'things they would say to make it sound like they are making a serious attempt to avoid Administration'.
If there were genuinely serious people considering 'investing', then there is quite a bit that could have been in the short term to buy some time. For example, we were told (I think) that the most immediate HMRC demand is for about £80K. If we were serious about staving off Administration then a plan could have been made to raise that amount quickly. An appeal to casual fans to turn out in force tomorrow could raise that - it would only need an extra 4000 people to 'walk up' for that amount to be raised in one afternoon. And a bucket collection could have taken it up another few thousand.
No, I've pretty well come to terms with Administration

| Our only hope is that all the other clubs are up to the cap limit, so won't be able to poach any of our players. But then as we all know, some strange cap rules do seem to apply sometimes.

| Its a bad situation to be in and ask yourself this if you had 10 million sat in the bank and wanted to invest in the Bulls would you do it now and have all the debts to pay on top or do it once they went into admin and pay as little as possible.Belive us Wakey fans when we say there is life after and lets face it we should know if I had 100 million before we went into admin as much as I love this club I would not have put one penny in as that would have let the old regime continue.

Bit different in our case as it looks likely that the current regime will be the regime carrying on post-admin.

Actually the analogy with the musicians on the Titanic is pretty apt.
Like us, I don't think the musicians had much hope of any positive outcome, and equally they had no influence over the decisions being made and, in every practical sense, were as totally helpless as flotsam on the briny; consider admin as being the sea rolling over the great ship and the analogy is complete. Like the musicians, I guess we'll just carry on doing what we've always done and see what comes to the surface later.

| mat - no differance it all depends who wants take the club on from Admin you just dont know who could come forward it might even be some one who loves the club but does not want the previous lot involved. The Administrators will look at who will be the best not at just the money to buy the remnants but also the best at taking things forward. Its part of the remit for them to do the job as it would not look good for things to be in admin the same situation shortly down the line.We ended up with the best man for the job and dont think that because the previuos regime have said they would take things on if it goes to Admin they might not get close to any others in the offing.Things might look bad now but as the saying goes "as one door closes another door opens" keep the faith things will come good.
