| it said in T and A that parkin will review what the chances he has got of buying the club based on the pledge money. Jack Tordoff seems a wealthy guy and is a keen follower of the bulls so maybe he could buy us ot and then we have steve parkin who has tried to buy leeds utd so if we had these two on board surely we would be better off. thoughts?

| Tordoff and Hood do not get along and I understand that Tordoff has reduced his cash into the club already whilst hood is at the helm. Not sure if this is 100% true but heard it from a reliable source. Seems like Hood rubs a lot of people up the wrong way?!
Also heard that, whilst I cannot say who said this, that there were several meetings taking place last week regarding a consortium, which is waiting until administration is confirmed before making a bid to take over. Not sure how the pledge affects all this. The source is heavily involved in these discussions.

| I may be doing Steve Parkin a dis-service but I am twitchy about someone who is looking to invest in seemingly any sports club who is on its knees - it smacks of buying something at rock-bottom to make money out of. The reality is that RL Clubs don't make money (average losses in Super League are £600k per year), so we seem to be looking for someone is prepared to accept losses for the love of the Club; that doesn't sound like Steve Parkin to me but I could be completely wrong.
The current average attendances are about 4000 down on what they were 6-7 years ago - that revenue, well over £600k a year is what is missing. We can blame the board all we want but supporters of the Club need to be just that.
Administration is not an option, surely. Elliot Whitehead, John Bateman and our better players would be sold to pay debts - then where do we start - absolute rock-bottom. At least on the pitch there are some green shoots of progress.

Looks like someone wound up the key and pointed you here, we've all heard about these so called sources with inside info, its usually disingenuous, what little anyone may know is always embellished, padded out, reworked or whatever to make it seem credible

Appreciate it looks that way as I cannot nane the source, however, rest assured this a source that was as close to the club in the past as anyone can possibly ever have been and is keen to get back on board.

| Well, Caisley has already been mentioned as actively looking for investment, and I guess its very much in his best interests with him being a 26% shareholder.

| As I have said a few times: the obvious (and perhaps only) candidate.
I've also said that, unless there was a prepack waiting ready to roll as soon as the Order was granted, I'd really fear for the club's future if there was any protracted administration.

It'll be a strange experience seeing Mr Caisley back at Odsal.

| Should the club fall over, despite everything, one school of thought is that a Caisley-led consortium would be the worst possible outcome, other than all the other possible outcomes that there might be. (With apologies to Winston)

These stories have always gone round though; remember when the story was that Ken Morrison wouldn't invest in the club because, allegedly, he and Jack Tordoff "didn't get on" This seems to be cut from the same source.

God knows mate. It was trotted out regularly by several people as the reason why Ken wouldn't invest in the club back when JCT first became the shirt sponsor. Like 99% of rumours it's probably a load of tosh. Trouble is you just don't know which rumour is the 0.01% which turns out to be true!

| Yeah, I know what you mean. All Il say is this has come from the horses mouth of the person involved, so its not a rumour.

If it indeed has, why did he tell you? And did he authorise you to disclose it? Don't read anything into it - its just a genuine question.
