| Anyone else noticed the poor attack and defence structures that Potter has instilled? Its no wonder we cannot open opposition defence when we stand a foot in front of them, look at the likes of Warrington and Wigan, they give themselves loads of room whereas we build a platform with the forwards then when we attempt to unlock the backs our halfs put the wrong pass on, giving it to who should be the dummy runner! Awful, defence is dire, they don't know whether to push up, umbrella or slide etc, all over the place and we never saw Saints with no room to move and defence line doing different things... Sort it out Potter, oh and Hood, quota space available, so is Morrison! Get him signed to play and coach as you should have done with Menzies, Potter will be gone at the end of 2012, what then, what's the long term financial and recruitment plans?!

It said in this weeks League Weekly that he's off to Batley with Kear. No idea if that's accurate....

Our attack and defence was the same under McNamara, the only difference was that in 2006 and 2007 we looked better because we still had some quality players.
We have such a flat attack to try to ensure we have support players nearer to any potential break. I'm not convinced by it either. As for the defence I think our problems there are down to attitude. The mistakes creep in too easily, the players stop talking and start doing their own thing leading to gaps appearing. That's down to heads dropping at the slightest thing like an error or a penalty.
I wonder why confidence has got so low, and what the plans are to re-build it. Hard work is needed but players have to be prepared to do it, I'm not convinced many of the current squad have the work ethic required.

You mean you dare question whether they all have the passion and the desire?

| Glad to see its not just me and i fully agree about the hard work needed...However i think it may be fitness (or lack thereof) that hampers our ability to defend... I think we need a full review of all coaching staff and trainers, very much like Pearson has done at Hull. I'm not one to call people inadequate but to be a successful professional club we need a long term plan and structure from top to bottom... As for Morrison at Batley all i say is look on T&A and we need to move quickly, a gamble that doesn't work is better than staying as we are and not moving forward... Come on Hood, pull your finger out, sick of nothing happening at the club Also any news on Cummins? Still no extensionthat i have heard of!

| Nah its just defence in genaral, the Bulls go too high. Not being funny but we played Stanningley on sunday fair enough we got hammered 60-2, but this massive black lad just ran 30-40m everytime he got the ball. But that was because 4-5 of our players were going high. He got it one time ran staright at me, I moved up and bam got his legs he went down and knocked on. First man go for legs, second go high for ball. Then 3rd in to finish tackle. Also line speed is key we let the attackers run at us instead of getting up in their faces.

| Sorry bull boy 2011, tackle legs first at super league level and all that will happen is offload after offload. What does need to happen is the initial hit wraps and split second later legs taken , followed by a 3rd who then controls the speed. A 3 man tackle is so more effective than a 1 man 'smash' tackle!!!! This is the reason a average giants side compete as they do this very well.
Our defensive problem is 1- some of our players are by far the worst in the league at reading attack , 2- Not all the players are aggressive enough in defence , and 3- Our fitness is dyer

Judging by the picture Potter should be used to working with empty vessels... Although he seems to have some difficulty in getting the team fired-up this season. I think it is time for him to change the temper and make-up of the side but he has to be careful not to act like a Bull in a china shop.
