one big hit doesnt make a good RL player. I know he played league as a kid but we need someone who can come in and make an immediate impact without having to learn the game. Not right player for us in current circumstances IMO.

I'd take him. Big, strong, aggressive. 3 attributes our team seems to be missing.

i wouldnt sign him we need an experienced forward not an experiment to throw aload of money at and hope it pulls off, i was at training last night and someone told me we are going to sign o'meley ..... iv heard nothing of this and by no means saying its true just wondered if any one else hs heard? apparently it was in the rugby league express? .... IMO exactly what we need....

He is a good player. Bit of a bad boy though off the pitch. Think he would make a good league player, but would take time.

which is why I'd steer clear. We've enough 'project' players in squad already without using the remaining cap space on another. If we're gonna bring someone in it has to be someone who can have an immediate impact.

I don't see why we shouldn't offer him a deal until the end of the year with an option for a further 12 months if he works out.

He's a good sized player with plenty of grunt, which is what you need in a forward.
