| Can we have a sticky about this please?
I know there was a thread before but I can't find it. It would be really helpful if people would post how they are getting over. I am really struggling to find suitable flights. I can't seem to find any that come back on the Tuesday either.
When and where are people flying?
And as an aside - has anyone ever driven over? What was it like? Google maps makes it a bit over a thousand miles/about 16hours!
Thanks all.

Hi, I posted some details here: viewtopic.php?f=19&t=477310
There is a direct return on Tuesday to Manchester but that is the only one so we are returning on Wednesday from Montpellier to LBA.
We met someone several years ago in the Ibis in Perpignan who had driven on his own from Bradford and he said that it is a great drive (the french part anyway) although it is obviously tiring if you are alone.

| I am looking at flying over from Leeds Bradford on the Friday with Jet 2 and coming back into either Manchester or Liverpool on the Tuesday and just getting a train back, I think the flights were around the £140 mark, I will double check now though!!

There is a sticky, it's in the ONE STICKY FOR THEM ALL, bit. Not been updated from 2010 as yet though.
Guess that needs something new from Dave Foti.

| We're flying from LBA to Barcelona on Good Friday with Ryanair and returning on the Wed the same again. When I looked there were a few different options for flights to Barca inc Jet2 on the Sat.
Looking at possibly getting the train to Perpignan with a stop off on the coast on the Sun evening before making it to Perp on the Mon and spending the night there after the game. Still waiting for some train times but failing that it'll be a bus ride or perhaps a car hire, keeping an open mind.

Have you done it before by train Mick? I got a book for xmas called 'The Man in Seat 61' which tells you how to travel to anywhere in Europe by train & the cheapest/easiest ways to do it. I will look into it & report my findings.

Do you know if the Carcassone flights will be running (well flying) in April? Are they sometimes not just Summer ones? Any idea when they will be up?

Yes did it back in 2008.
Only cost me £98 return and I had changes at Paris/Lyon and London St Pancras.

Go on the Network Rail site and play around with the journey planner (also is an app for generic fruit named smartphones)
