| More depth for the squad, increased competition for places can only be good imo.

| People are hanging their heads on the rumours thread but he still looked good at the start of last year and I'll trust Potter on this one as he was very good at his best.

But lots of meiocre players competing for places gives a mediocre team. Can't help but thinking this would have been a dream team had Potter taken over when Noble left. It's as though he has opened a drawer and found Nobby's wish list. I hope to god they all come good but worry we are buying too many that 'used' to be good.

Maybe there were...at the time before his trial then sentencing when people were saying it sent out the wrong signals.
I guess you'd now argue he'll have done his time and paid the price, so we are into the "rehabilitation of offenders" bit. On that basis, perhaps more to the point the Bulls should be commended for giving a very good opportunity to an offender to rehabilitate himself?

I suspect this one will turn out fine, to be honest.
But with the number of changes having to be made to the squad, there is no way we could sign a load of superstars! Those we have signed seem in the main strong squad players who will be a big improvement on what has gone before - as will the larger squad as a whole. As has been pointed out ad nauseum elsewhere, we just need the certainty of a general or two to make sure we don't see headless chickens again.

Aye, and Eddie is hinting at it too. And, as we all know:

| FFS, there are some two faced people out there!
FWIW, I thought we should have signed him last year and was roundly mocked for suggesting it. (TBF I was not aware of his trial, I was judging it on ability, but I was told he was pretty much useless anyway)
Be interesting to see the views on here now all the same. Particularly that of a certain af.

So what's your money on for 5?
Also are there perhaps 6 numbers between 1-49 that occurs to you?
I'm not convinced by Raynor, I have to say. However, he's on a 1 year deal, his recent past will mean he will be desperate to concentrate on rugby and he's probably come very cheaply. In fact, all the reasons that I put forward to justify the Reardon signing earlier this year.

That has been my thought too...I was very pleased with the Reardon signing for precisely those reasons. Got that one well wrong, didn't I? I'm optimistic about this one though.

| I'm in the 'trust Potter' camp regarding this signing. It's a long time since his GB days and he's knocking on a bit for a winger. I just hope he still has his pace, because without it he doesn't offer a great deal IMO.
Like all new players though, I will give him enough time to prove himself worthy of the Bulls shirt. He is the fortunate position of not having the likes of TV and LV still fresh in peoples minds. Now let's just hope he gets his early release!!

| He went down this year! He could have been Folau but behind bars he's less use than Nick Zisti.
Once he's out and a Bull, he gets my support.

TBH Adey, I think what went wrong there was that he was played out on the wing where he's never looked comfortable, even during his first spell at the club. Had he exchanged positions with Halley, his season might have been different.
Ah well, we'll never know now. And we've a completely new back line for 2011. A back line that actually gives me more confidence AND has plenty of depth should any player not be making the grade.
And he's been in an open prison, which should mean he's been able to maintain a semblance of his fitness.
