Heart says yes, head says no. His knees are fooked and I think we should leave him as he is, a Bradford legend, not one who came back and wasted part of our SC.

On his own no, but with Caisley and Noble coming back as well the good times are about to come back.

I have made my feelings quite clear...if the price was right then I'd take him back. If he would come for a 'fair' wage then give him a go. We're desperately short of numbers and particularly in the backline.

He score two tries for Gloucester last week and I'm sure he'd still cause a few problems. He wouldn't be as good but I'd be willing to bet he'd be better than a lot of SL wingers even with dodgy legs! People will say he risks losing his legend status at the Bulls but I certainly wouldn't forget the player he WAS even if it didn't work out. Let's face it... it's highly unlikely any higher quality non quota players will be available now IMO.

If he can get an "unconnected" third party to pay him loads for his image rights, and if he chose to come play a season for us at a manageable salary, get him back. But it would be as much marketing as on-field performance we'd be getting - but that benefit alone would likely pay his salary. But remember that whilst Hood confirmed we had cap headroom available, he also quite clearly implied that we did not have the resources to fill it anyway. Maybe a brief return from Les would achieve both? Except did we ever get to the bottom of the quota etc situation?

He always said he would come back to finish at Bradford, hopefully he does.

Regarding quota, surely having played for England he is exempt from the quota? Perhaps a friendly Saints fan could inform us what Maurie over there is classed as?

After Harrisgate, you'd surely assume that in Releasing Les to Union we'd have had him sign an agreement to return to Bulls to complete the term of his original contract? Without even having to be "cohersed"? Albeit you'd presume for the same dosh as he was originally on? All following Mr Justice Gray's Harris precedent, assuming that the circumstances of his leaving were actually similar of course?

Have I missed something? Is there a chance Les may come back?
Or is this just speculation?

Total speculation AFAIW, founded on a report a few weeks ago about when Les was supposed to be out of contract with Gloucester.

Excellent for publicity, support, etc but not sure it would be for the team. If he came for peanuts than absolutely.

I'd rather have Shonnie back, but that one's not going to happen when he's on the fringe of the England squad.

What happened to John Rudd? He looked solid if a little unfit when pleying for the reserves, would have thought he'd have been considered seen as wing is our weakest area.

I wouldn't. When Les knew he was leaving, he still continued to put his everything into the Bulls until he left. Hape looked a lot like he just couldn't be *rsed as soon as he knew he was off to the dark side.
