Don't know if anyone else saw, but driving away from the ground last night, there was an ambulance and a number of police cars on the opposite side of the road (this was the road that goes past the stadium and leads from where the pubs are to the hospital). As I drove past, I tried to take a look to see what was going on, but that was the one bloody time we got a spurt on and managed to make some ground in the traffic, so didn't get chance to have a decent look.

The reason I bring it up here though is that I'm sure I saw Gill J right in the middle of what was going on. I do hope everything is ok as I've met Gill and her husband a few times and they are thoroughly nice folk.

If anyone has any info, it would be nice to get an update, in particular if the news is good.

There was a drunken idiot hurling objects at the queueing traffic and I had what I think was a can thrown at my van I ended up moving to the inside lane in case anymore were thrown at my windows. Shouted ' off back to Bradford' then went running down the road after something. Like I'd go to Hull out of choice or stay any longer than needed... icon_lol.gif

Whoever the person was with crutches, he/she had a whale of a time running across the road to smack somebody with them, including the police.

Crossing over the road at the end of the park, two females my 14 yr old daughter and myself were verbally abused by a drunk local village idiot. I think its great that Hull has such an open attitude to young men in hull shirts who are obviously from some kind of care in the community setting. After a brief conversation about the game at the KC being a rugby league game not a football match we were joined but some random drunk street entertainer who was fire juggling and threatening to burn every lovers face off with a gas canister and lighter.

As quaint as these local attractions were, they can be a little bit threatening if your not my size, so unfortunately I doubt I will take friends and familly back to the KC. It will be much more enjoyable traveling on my own so next time If I am left with no option but to join in the street theater, I can , without the worry of my familly being injured.
icon_wink.gif

Such a shame I know every team has them, but Hull had made a really big effort when they moved into the KC to make away fans feel welcome and cut down on this sort of thuggery.

hi all
yes it was gillj and myself that was involved in this incident
i would like to ask you not to speculate on what happened as the police are taking the appropriate action at the moment
i would also like to point out that this was a isolated incident even though this person was wearing the colours of fc it isnt known if he is actually a fan
or just someone who had the shirt given or whatever
not all of hull are like this person so please do not tar the whole of the fc supporters with the same brush
thanks

The more important question than what is happening with the person though, is are you all ok after it? The presence of the ambulance suggested some form of injury involved, so I hope all is ok on that front?

Glad all ok.
We went in and out on the Park and Ride, and it was all good. Went in with our Hull supporting friends. No problems.
As mentioned earlier, the vast majority of Hull fans are lovely. It's a crying shame about the idiot minority.

Thank you. We all have them, unfortunately.

I'm sorry to hear of any Bradford fans who had their night spoilt by any random cretins.

I agree to a point. However year after year away fans are abused by a certain corner of the stadium. Now seeing a load of young yobs gesticulating and chanting abuse doesn't offend me all that much but I think it would if I was taking a young family. I just wonder why the trouble makers who spend most of the match goading away fans are not ejected from the ground and some permanent bans handed out. Hull are now well known for their 'chav' corner.. if I was running the Hull club it would be an image of the club I would be trying to eradicate.

Chav corner is fine, it creates an atmosphere and it's funny laughing at them because they are a set of douchebags.

So what happened?

Was somebody 'assaulted'?

PM's work well.

It creates the wrong atmosphere for a family game. It's fine for groups of lads, but if I had a family, there's no way I'd take it to Hull's ground until they sort it out. That doesn't look like happening any time soon as it's been there for years.

Because apparently the home fans are allowed to be as threatening and abusive as they like. Or at least that's the impression I've got every time I've seen chav corner.
