robbie and radford were probably going end of that year no matter what but we ended up losing pryce and peacock in same year which was a blow and then les and hape would have prob gone for money in union anyway but we had to sell fielden (which since does look like it was not the biggest loss as he has never hit his early bradford form).

Pryce and peacock for me although peacock would be the foremost as his medals cabinet would testify. Either having testimonials and less of their wage on the cap would have been a bonus as well.

Yup, JP has been the greatest player of the Super League era over here - his record speaks for itself, if what has been reported, and stated in JP's book about Caisley's attitude to his contract negotiations it simply beggars belief.

Nobby was also a huge loss, but one that may have been mitigated by an appointment of a more experienced and shrewder operator than McNamara - who was in way over his head.
