| Reading about Matt Calland got me thinking about two of the best moments I've had as a Bulls fan.[list[*His try against Leeds in the semi in 1996, brushing off Kevin Iro to put us 10-nil up[/*[*His try in the closing minutes at Central Park in 1997 - my brother and I ended up twenty steps down from where we started after he scored that one.[/*[/list
Other ones I can think of off the top of my head are
[list[*Being on holiday and hearing we'd beaten Hull KR to stay up.[/*[*Gerald Cordle sticking out an arm for Mark Preston to take in the gut, spin 180 degrees vertically and land in a heap at his feet.[/*[*Roy Powell's try at VP[/*[*Singing 'Going down' at Ellery, Schofield et al after that game finished.[/*[*Ringing my Fax supporting mate after the comeback at Thrum Hall (he and some other lads had come found me at half time to take the mick), only to be told by his mum that he'd come in and gone straight to bed - at a quarter to eight.[/*[/list
Plenty more where that came from, but it's a start.

| Going a bit further bacK:
Phil Ford's wonder try versus Leeds in the 1988 premiership where he waved "bye bye" to Marty Gurr.
The mass brawl on half time in the 1987 Yorkshire Cup Final Replay.
Ellery Hanley's try versus Fev in the 1983 cup semi final.

You don't believe the information
You don't believe it when it's denied
So when you're reading explanations
You have to read between the lines: |

I remember that one.
Was too late leaving work to get there. But I rang up and upgraded Sky to include Sky Sports 20 mins before that match kicked off.
I was quite pleased I had!

If only there was somewhere we could see the footage of that Bradford Castleford game.

Had Eddie's commentary as a homemade ringtone for a while, got it pretty much memorised...
Quote: Honourabull "Paul... into the arms of Tomlinson... Tomlinson to Loughlin, Loughlin out wide, Calland... Calland gets the try! Incredible! Bradford Bulls don't know when they're dead.'"
Quality.

| I don't really know the old ones..
Mick Withers drop goal against Leeds 1999 record crowd one wasn't it?
His drop goal against Hull - that game for some reason always sticks in my mind.
Nathan McAvoys try in the CC final
The 96 - 16 game against salford was just one that was a weird game.
p.s. the game against leeds is nearly 8 years since that record crowd one

We were awful but still well in front, 14 points up with twelve minutes left.
They came back with three tries.
Crowther missed the touchline conversion to win it.
We went up the field and Withers dropped the goal into the travelling support with less than a minute on the clock.
I think it was the instant switch from 'How have we thrown this away?' to 'Bloody hell, we've won' that you don't often get.

I just remember the tenseness and then seeing the goal go over and then realising that it was withers.

19829_1320257469.gif Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_19829.gif |

| Paul Deacon's last minute penalty to beat Wigan at Valley parade in May 2002 when we'd been losing something like 20-6 late on in the first half. Came from a controversial crossing penalty, Nobby was calling for the kick to touch and the drop but Deacs lined it up from just inside the Wigan half and nearly on the touchline. I was sat behind the goal and it came towards me and through the posts in slow motion. That always sticks in my mind.
I actually still think I have that match on video somewhere.
