I have always been of the opinion when reading about thug elements at super league games that there few if any at Bradford games. After the Leeds game I have had to reassess this. We got there over an hour early and got a good spot directly behind the sticks. With about 10 mins to kick off we were then surrounded by shoved by and generally intimidated by about 30 bradford "fans" who went on to beat the world champion swearing record. Shouted abuse at other fans, chucked beer about and sang extremely foul chants full of expletives.

They then went on to laugh, swear and shout throughout minutes show of respect for our soldiers and were generally rude and aggressive to anyone who challenged the way they were behaving. At the risk of saying something and getting into a violent situation we as a family had to move away to the extreme side of the away end to stand with some really nice Rhino fans. Whilst leaving out original spot one women said to us " if you dont like swearing why come to the funking rugby". I really couldn't be bothered to explain.

On the way back to the car the same group were picking on / intimidating any lone or pair of Leeds fans they came into contact with. I was ashamed to be a Bradford fan.

I am no saint and can swear with the best of them when I become a little over excited but I cannot stand the situation I was put in by our own fans. I dont know whether it is something that I need to learn to live with or the authorities need to address. There was a real possibility of violence erupting between our own fans.

Must admit there are a few shameless types that follow the bulls as I experienced at the harlequins game. Boozed up and fouled mouth continually screaming abuse at the ref and Platt even though he was playing well. The two fat women in shell suit tops appeared to be the worse bordering on hysterical. Then during lulls in play one of the drunken blokes they appeared to be with duly pipes up with a drunken rendition of "come on you bulls" After twenty minutes of the match I could stand no more and moved to a different part of the ground!
I aint no snob but these pond life we can do without!

There were some idiots stood behind me at the game too. Spent the entire game abusing Leeds players (with every third word being swearing) and were generally annoying everyone around them, be they Bradford or Leeds fans. I actually apologised on behalf of our fans to the Leeds fan stood next to me and told her we weren't all like that!

I've no problem with people making noise and the odd bit of swearing. Sometimes it's understandable and I certainly haven't been innocent of swearing myself in the past. But certain fans seem to take it way too far and when they're doing it constantly throughout the game, not always for any reason, it's embarrassing.

The crew behind me were clearly drunk and I've found that the majority of those like that are under major influence at the time (with the exception of that annoying lass with the hooped earrings and the Reardon shirt that I had the misfortune of being stood near for the Leeds Friendly, who was sober and still just as irritating).

I think it's all part and parcel of the crowds getting lower. The people who tend to stay away when things aren't going well are usually more laid back fans who aren't quite as bothered. The abusive types tend to be die hards (thankfully not all of us die hards are abusive though!).

Anyone think of drawing Stewards attention to problem;I believe they get paid to deal with such matters.It will not just go away, and I cant believe our Club want this type of "fan".

On the otherhand we shared a drink, some friendly banter and a good laugh with lots of you both before and after the game........

It's the same chav group who people complain about at every game. It's time they're banned.

Leeds Vs Bradford especially on Easter weekend is always going to bring out more idiots than any other game. A hell of a lot being people wearing no club colours. Personally i like the atmosphere a lot more. Not personally bothered about swearing, but some fans take it too far. What annoys me more is when a group just come along and stand in front of you.

8.00pm kick-off times don't help since this gives the idiots more time to drink before the game. I'm afraid it's just the British binge-drink culture which has now spread into our game. I'm sure if we reverted to 3.00pm kick-off times this would help, but Sky are hardly likely to accept that.

It is a shame that although bad behaviour is relentlessy on the increase in RL, yet those who could do something about it choose to ignore it.

"Stewards" are paid for nothing. They do nothing. They will do nothing. They will 100% certainly never go and front up a crowd of boozed-up morons. There is usually some police at Headingley but they are similarly reluctant, in the extreme, to become involved in anything like work.

I don't know why this is. The clubs could tell the security to throw out numbskulls like this, but clearly only want to box tick, and have a nice "policy" and banal "announcements". Nobody has the balls to act, and that's the end of it. Thus the yobs know (as in all other walks of life) that in fact they have pretty much free rein to behave as badly as they want. And so will continue to do so. Get used to it, unless you want to experience your head being "kicked like a football" in the daily-use newspaper court report term.

Leeds have an textline where you can report these low-lifes anonymously.

I have the number in my phone already. I was tempted to use it at the Hull KR game the other week after one bloke came out with some racist chanting about the ethnicity of the demographic of Leeds. You know the one!
I just told him of my disgust and he was fine after that. A bit ashamed I think! The other HKR fans I talked to were great.

I was on the West Terrace to the South Stand side of the scoreboard on Thursday and there was a mix of Bulls and Rhinos fans and everyone was fine. That's as it should be.

I wonder if this is perversly a product of our lack of success these last few years. Maybe these numpties existed in the past but were diluted heavily by the families coming through the gate. Now we are down to the 'hardcore' home and away the moronic element present at every club becomes more obvious.

Shut up removed moaning !! Whats wrong with having a drink and a laugh at leeds away ? you need to bring your head back to when you was a teenager ? or was you sat on mummys nap reading the bible ? Get a removed grip!

Shut your face, removed. It's a family friendly game, one where kids go to watch. We don't need thugs, and idiots.
