I make it that is eight props we have on the books now, including loans.
Makes you wonder if one or two are on the way out.

I suspect Lawrence may retire and Doro will no doubt sign for a super league club. It is such a shame to see Doro leave if the rumours are true.

Will go one way or the other. Has the ability to tear the league apart and still only 23. Up to him where his career goes from here.Just hope it isn't one of those signings championship clubs make and end up being a disaster.

As usual, the moronic fans chime in. We're going bust again. Why do we sign players when we've got an academy. Thick as mince!

This one's giving me Lauaki vibes. I watched Pele play for Hull and he was a complete liability. I hope the club know what they're doing...

Could be a real asset if he can control himself especially at Championship level. If he’s going around knocking players heads off he will spend more time banned than on the pitch. EOC seems to like a bit of mongrel in his players so hopefully he can coach some control and discipline into Pele. Time will tell with this signing, but there is definitely some investment going into the squad right now.

Pollsters doing Excellent job - say recent polls.:

Yeah. I’ve watched him for Hull a couple of times. Sometimes goes missing in defence but always powerful with ball in hand. Might just be environment as Hull has been a troubled club this season. Hopefully EOC can lift him

I too get the Lauaki vibe. He was from Hull as well and an absolute dud. Jury is out.

Well I was livid when we signed Okunbor. But he's been solid if unspectacular.
Feel more confident about Pele, and unlike Lauaki he does actually use his weight to be a wrecking ball. Only 23. I think the season and setup at Hull could have ruined any career and looks like they're having a complete clean out there. If he gets some confidence back with us, it could be a shrewd signing.

Or we could get a lazy, arrogant Lauaki x2 who thinks he's too good the the division and isn't as good as he actually is and ends up being a waster.

Pele with ball in hand - destructive. However, he does like to be the 'dummy runner' too often.
Defensively, if a player runs straight at him, then he's very strong. Any lateral movement and he's done for. Also, slow retreater. If he sets his head right, and works hard, then he could go on and have a good career, but says it all really for me, when Ligi Sao at Hull was going to do extra fitness training with him, and Pele failed to show up time after time

While there are definitely some concerns about his attitude, I think we should focus on the potential he brings to the team and give him the opportunity to prove himself. I assume he can play the role of the impact prop off the bench. I've not really kept close tabs on him but I assume from his size that's the role he's played previously at Hull and York.

I understand the reservations about his attitude. Pele comes with some disciplinary issues but I am hopeful that a new environment and the right support system can make all the difference.

What gives me hope is that we’ve signed him on a short-term deal. This shows that the management is aware of the potential risks but also sees the value in giving him a chance. You could say it is a win-win situation: if he performs well and keeps his discipline in check, we benefit greatly. If not, we aren't locked into a long-term commitment.

Looking forward to seeing him in action and hoping for the best!

If he applies himself as he should knowing he needs a decent contract for next year he could be a great impact prop. Especially at championship level. He’s still young and worth a gamble. We need to cover him in defence though.

That and his discipline is probably a concern
