Thought I'd start this with re-signings and discussions starting on next seasons squad. Not 100% sure who is and isn't signed up by this is the list I have so far.

I concur with the majority. But cant agree with wanting ti get rid of Baldy. Hes been fanstic this year, especially in the absence of Lawrence. No way hes going.
England as well for me has to stay.

Sorry, yes I meant to type KEEP as I think he has signed for next year anyway. However, I would still let England go.

At times he can be brilliant but for me he is just not consistent enough. Maybe ok to keep as a squad player/back up.

Did anybody else hear Lee Greenwood's comments this week regarding the squad and recruitment? I caught it on ViaPlay during the Barrow game. He mentioned that a percentage of the current squad did minimal or no pre-season with us. I suppose it goes to show that the squad is always developing and changing with the influx of new signings or loan players as the season unfolds.

Looking at the squad I believe 8 of the current starting 17 didn't start the season with us. Those include: Arundel, Appo, Wynne, Taufua, Baiteri, Segeyaro, Matongo & Gaskell.

In relation to those new additions, I would like to keep the majority on the books for 2024, if they are not already tied down for next season.

We got him when we were in L1 and it's there where he looks most comfortable. He gives 100% and is a likeable person but if the team is going to progress we need someone better.

Pollsters doing Excellent job - say recent polls.:

He’s an excellent clubman, has played well in the reserves this year but isn’t the quality of winger that the teams around us have.

I echo all that. He's a bloke that grafts and plays to the maximum of his abilities. In a team where some people have evidently not being playing close to their natural ability, I respect that immensely. He's what we needed at the time.

Quote: Nothus "Bloody hell, we've given Flanagan another year
Interim Head Coach Lee Greenwood said:

“You need to get the balance right of youth and experience, George loves the club and he is certainly a really important part of the playing group, not just through having the right mentality but also keeping the lads sociable and making sure that there’s a good bond.

“They are quite a tight knit group and that is a lot to do with George and what he does off the field but on the field he still has something to offer. He trains exceptionally hard for a guy his age, he leads from the front and he has certainly got a part to play.

“When you get to a certain age it gets harder and harder to play at a high level but he has shown he can still do it and he will have an important part to play next year.”

Eamon O’Carroll said:

“I am really happy we have managed to extend George’s contract for a further 12 months. After a number of phone calls with George it was clear to me that he is Bradford through and through and is desperate to be a part of what we are trying to do.

“Having watched this season’s games and having spoken to the rest of the staff and players, it is clear that George is highly valued within the group. He has real leadership qualities and leads by example on and off the field, which is something I really value.

“I am really looking forward to working with George and him being a big part of the club moving forward.”

This is enough to convince me George is right to have another year.
