He's a strange one. Take a look at his CV and you'd snap him up in a heartbeat, especially at clubs where he's performed well with little investment. However, the opinions of those around RL is not positive in the slightest.
Take a look at Fev, two consecutive Middle 8 finishes yet shown the door for a guy who has done little with a poor swinton side other than try to knock opponents heads off.
Wouldn't be thrilled at the prospect long term but it wouldn't surprise me if he took the job and did well at it.

| Please NO NO NO. Not a popular bloke in RL circles. Seems to have a reputation of rubbing people up the wrong way.

| Neither disappointed nor elated. Agree with what Bullinenemyland said. When i saw his name mentioned i wasn't thrilled. But pretty much everyone thought he was harshly treated when shown the door at Fev. He also coached fev to a 20 NIL win in one of the most important games For either club. Lee Greenwood is my number 1 choice.

| Wasn't he accused of all sort of homophobic and other nonsense?
If so I'd rather he fekked off somewhere else. Our reputation's on it's 4rse as it is.

| As already mentioned Sharp isn't a very popular man with a lot of people, but his boring style of rugby can get results and that's what we need.
Personally, I'd rather see someone in charge that could grow as the club does, rather than someone that's coming to the back end of their coaching career and probably a short term (2 years) appointment.

| Absolute unmitigated disaster if he comes to Bradford.
<Sorry Errol I had to edit out the majority of your post as it's potentially libellous and the site can't afford any legal battles - Bullseye - PM or Tweet me if you want to chat>
What a CV - and our lot give him a job?
Sincerely hope this press talk is a load of roll ocks

| On the positive side - He'd make us harder to beat. He did alright at Fev right up until they sacked him just before the play offs for some as yet unknown reason. he's an ex forward so should know a bit about what it takes up front and that area for me is the part of the side that needs most work.
On the negative side - Seems to have a bit of negative baggage following him around. Also quite possibly one of the dullest speakers I've ever heard, could send a glass eye to sleep. Though this was when he was coaching Hudders so he may have got better.
On the whole it's a bit of a "meh" type of coaching appointment if it's true. I worry about the baggage, we don't need anyone that's going to put noses out of joint.

| Sorry, could somebody please point me to the article whereby the long suffering fans have been informed of Toovey's decision not to return....
Either on the Bulls website...?
Their twitter feed...?
Or perhaps it was in the ever up-to-date and reliable T&A and I missed it...?
Business as usual regards communication with the fans then

| Please no. Isn't that journalist a Halifax fan? Hopefully he's just trolling us.

| There's a couple of anomalies in that report.
Quote: "Toovey wasn’t present for the start of the club’s pre-season training last week and the players were instead addressed by club owner Andrew Chalmers,'"
So is Chalmers in Australia, scouting players at the World Cup (as he himself said) and meeting with Toovey whilst there (as the T&A reported), or was he at Tong last week addressing the players? Can't both be true...
Quote: "the Bulls have held lengthy discussions with 50-year-old Sharp, who has been out of a job since his contract with Featherstone Rovers was not renewed when it expired midway through last season.'"
What???? Surely that can't be right? Isn't it more the case that the Fev chairman decided not to renew the contract for 2018, and they agreed a pay-off so they could get him to leave immediately? I find it hard to believe that any club would hand a coach a contract that ended part way through the season (especially given the way that Toovey has sat on his contract until November, and everyone has been saying that its the norm because that's when all contracts end)
Given these anomalies, how confident are we that the rest of the story is accurate?
