| Have we ever got to mid day on a Friday before a game and not had a thread on it?
Yes - probably LAST TIME we were in this **it
So - our scrum half has been in Tenerife all week - assume he has kept fit and will be playing?
Will he care - he hasn't been paid!
I'm not motivated to drive up there just to see if a bunch of lads who possibly won't have been paid can be bothered to entertain us.
Must take my hat off to Rohan though - he remains positive in public at all times - what a gem!
Will we have enough support to fill a bus?

| I struggled to care about this game before the financial issues came to light. I care even less about it now.
I'll have a listen to the commentary on BCB, but that's about it. The result is largely irrelevant, as is the rest of the season.

This.
Doubt we'd have filled a bus for this one even before last couple of weeks of crap.

| I'd be interested in the squad he's picked. Will it be radically different from the Fev debacle?
I'm quite pleased we're playing as it's a distraction from the off field malarky. The U19 game last night was a welcome diversion too.

Couldn't agree more.

| Couldn't care less. If we put a 100 passed them, so what. I won't be congratulating those players after the most unprofessional, gutless season I've seen from a FT side.
Agree with Bullseye, I'd rather see the U19s play. The ONLY positive about the club at the moment.

| Well, I have decided I'm not going. I hope nobody else goes either. The players have got themselves into this "competition" and playing in front of a scattering Cumbrians and no away fans when they could have been playing in front of over 10,000 against the Rhinos at a buzzing Odsal might make them think. They may not have got paid on time this month but they sure as hell were all being handsomely paid all the months that their lacklustre efforts were consigning us to the rugby league dustbin.
I've had time to reflect and whatever barbs are thrown at Lowes, Ferres etc. it remains a digrace, even with no recognised halfbacks, that this highly paid bunch of full-time wannabee SL stars could not finish even in the top 4 of the second division.
And having got themselves into jeopardy, their dismal effort against Featherstone, which could still have dragged our club and their own prospects and indeed salaries out of the mire, is something they have to explain and live with.
ATEOTD I firmly believe that if they had won that game, then we would not have had this crisis. We would already have made a lot of money on ticket sales for the Rhinos derby, with mouthwatering lucrative fixtures including Huddersfield and Leigh to come, and the possibility of being in the even more lucrative MPG was in their own hands.
Having blown it, and knowing what that had cost the club, frankly I would have thought more of them if they had got together and made a gesture of declining their pay for the month.
I expect that - assuming the players haven't killed the club off - I will probably be drawn to some of the meaningless mickey-mouse games but I won't be getting excited, they will be utterly meaningless and flat as a fart. Soul-destroying.

| One thing I did take an interest in was that Smith had brought in his younger brother fornsoke strength and conditioning (a role I think he held at Sydney Roosters)
We havent looked any fitter than the PT teams this year and I think we look to be lacking in muscle.

| Well - a set of depressing responses - but hardly surprising - if this is a consensus - the income over the remainder of the season will be negligible.
Here is where I am.
Agree with all the above.
BUT
If we survive to the next home game I am going to go and pay cash even though my ticket will get me in.
WHY?
Because I think we are on the brink of real improvement with the belated appointment of Rohan Smith and the excellent news and vibes emanating from our youth.
I don't want to lose this.
I think we all know there has been some catastrophic decisions taken with the money we, the sponsors and the league have put in to the club.
But I can't bear to think at this stage - it will all disappear.
Am I the only person thinking on these lines?
Will there be just me at the next home game (if we have one)?

Ferguson, Ryan & Caro the only ones that may have potentially been dropped. Or may have told them where to go because they weren't paid on time. Or may be injured. Who knows? Ryan did get hurt against Fev so likely his is an injury.

| Question is, do we only play the lads who are going to be here next year? Still no Gaskell.
