| A lady sat near to us was incensed to hear that a shirt she had bought for her nephew before the match could have been bought for 25% less after the match.
All the so called marketing and professional acumen that has been brought onto the board and they make this incredible cock-up.
Lesson 101 in how to pizz off your customers

| Simple return it with the receipt
then
get back in the queue and buy a cheaper one.

| Still a very poor way to treat the fans. It was announced that it was one time only so maybe not an option. Terrible Karma

Not an option. It was stated as being for one hour only after the match.
No idea who came up with the idea, or what they were thinking of. Or why they felt they needed to do it (you can hope it was not cash-flow necessitated). But whoever it was cannot have thought it through, since they've clearly hacked off quite a few people, and effectively devalued their entire remaining merchandise stock. I'd be interested in Kate Hardcastle's thoughts on what, as soon as I heard the announcemenmt, I thought was something of a marketing own goal.

| Stock only just become available - good start on the pitch - why a deep discount now?
Fair enough near the end of the season - or if the shirts are about to change but very strange timing and it certainly p*****d off some fans near me on the terrace who had been in the shop before the game.

| My first thought was the same as Adeys. Do we need some immediate cash. Hard to follow otherwise. We wait all this time for the away shirt to come in and then promptly discount it. From a marketing point of view it makes no sense. Will be interested to hear the explanation at the next Open Forum.
Regarding cash flow, whats happening to our attendances if the figures are to be believed. 7800 yesterday and much the same at the previous home game. Wasn't our average last year around the 11k mark? If we have truly lost around 3/4 thousand supporters thats a major revenue problem for Omar, or are the figures being reported differently. Didn't we sell around 7500 season tickets? Confused.

| I did wonder a few times last year if the crowd figures were correct. I suspect they are now.
It was a bit sp yesterday, obviously discounting the 40,000 Rovers fans.
I too did wonder about cashflow when the discount was announced. Seems to be a very odd way to do business. The shop was packed beforehand so plenty of people are likely to be a bit fed up to hear about the post match discount.
I'd be interested to hear the club's spin on this.

| It did seem strange to just announce it during the game and was clearly going to pig off anyone who bought some gear before kick-off. Definite home goal really.
My first thoughts were that they were clearing stock for the [hopefully] recently arrived, and definitely needed, new leisurewear range.

| Yes absolutely disgusting. Almost as bad as cola going on 3 for 2 the day after you bought 6 bottles.

| First major league own goal by Omar.
Why not have the offer on all day, from when the shop opened?
The ONLY difference between that and what they did is the trade off between the extra 25% ££ milked from the unsuspecting early purchasers, as opposed to the ££ value of the loss of goodwill of those same purchasers. Every one of whom is feeling ripped off and disgusted.

That would be logical but why include the replica shirts in the discount. People would be less upset if they'd said 25% discount on everything except the shirts and had it before the match as well. It's almost like they looked at revenue from attendance on the day then did the sale to make up a shortfall in income. Hopefully a one off thing until the new directors funds are in place and the share issue is done, both bringing funds into the club.

| Sadly I fear many fans may now actually hold back spending money in the shop in case we have any more random sales in the next couple of months. My wife purchased a shirt for £46 before the game so I'm far from happy. I would be less annoyed if we could actually have heard the announcement on the PA system.
So much for the Bulls family!
