| we are being docked Sky money in the future ? I cannot recall reading this as fact, just in various press cuttings and on various RAB threads, coming across as hearsay.
If anyone can post a definative reply, I'm sure it would put several hundreds of Bulls fans at rest, either for better or worse.
Thanks

| we're definitely going to not get it. think figures are 650k this year and 625k next year being retained. Reasons why havent been clarified. one suggestion is that we dipped into next years sky money with the advances RFL gave us to pay the wages although cant see how that would amount to more than a couple of 100k. AS for the rest of it who knows.

| From what i have heard it was because we took sky money early this year, but wasnt the money due to us anyway we just took it early?
Or maybe the money will go to the RFL as they paid some of our player wages didnt they?
On SL backchat they mentioned it as stupid that if we where given an extened year licence we should be treated the same as any other club not "handicapped" which is what they said by haveing money withheld, they also said FC has got the HARDEST job in the league now, but the way i see it if we can do the same as we have done this year with a backs to the wall mentality we should still be in the top 8, i still think our team will be stronger than those teams from this year who finished from 7-14.

| I think we bought ourselves a place in SL, pretty much.
Did all but one of the other SL clubs vote to keep us in SL because they love us and couldn't live without us? Or was it because they already knew they stood to get a slightly larger slice of the pie in the next two years? Who knows.

| Doesn't really matter why, does it, we're only going to get half the money of everyone else for two seasons and that is that. I suppose you could say that, overall, in a very complex set of goings on between the RFL, Sl, administrator, SL clubs and chairmen etc etc the RFL obviously thought that taking everything they had learned into consideration (which will obviously be 100 times more than we mere observers know) this is what they would require, and since OKB [iare[/i the new owners, they equally obviously agreed to take this "medicine".
So i am not having a go, but any navel-gazing as to whether this or that woulda coulda shoulda or fairness etc is surely irrelevant; we are where we are, OKB agreed what they agreed, and are getting on with it.
It may be a total outrage, or it may be the fairest thing ever, I don't care any more, it is what it is.
All I will say is it is yet another poke in the eye to our many trolls and critics who accused OKB of effectively not paying enough, it has cost and will cost them plenty. The only question to me though is what will the RFL do with that "windfall". Don't think anybody has commented.

Pollsters doing Excellent job - say recent polls.: |

| I wonder if any creditors are expecting to be paid any of the Bull's money which is being withheld? They're the ones that have lost out the most.
If OK had said he was going to pay a significant amount back to creditors then I don't think we would have sky money withheld.

I have gone on record as saying the only possible justification I could see for massive fines on this scale would be to pay off creditors, maybe to keep Sport England off the RFL's back after yet another loss to HMRC. Whether this is part of the plan I have no idea, nor do I know how in practice it could be effected within the insolvency legislation. But I cannot see any other possible justification for putting the new owners at such a huge disadvantage compared to the rest of the competition? Unless it is all politics, and is a warning to any other club owners about what will happen if they put THEIR club into administration, but (unlike the end result at Bulls) then tried to buy the assets off the adminstrator and come back as a phoenix afetr a pre-pack? But I can only speculate, since I cannot understand why the RFL would at once allow OKB to take over the Licence AND at the same time do their best to ensure the club will struggle to meet the conditions for having a Licence.

| Is the drop in funding -
a) part of the purchase price?
b) A punishment?
if a - then fair enough, I'd assume the money would be transferred over to BG since OK's purchase price was not enough to cover BG's bill as was never mind what it could be now?
If b - what happens to the "fine" dished out to other clubs? used to pay creditors? swallowed up by RFL coffers?

| I don't think that the insolvency legislation would be relevant. the agreement to give us a SL licence only happened after the main event. By then, OKB had already bought and paid for the club, and that deal was conditional only on the new owner being admitted to membership of the RFL. Not SL.
So, if at some future time, the RFL does a deal with OKB which leaves unexpected funds in the RFL distribution pot; and if the RFL chose to pay some or all of that money to what were some or all of the creditors of BBHL, I'm thinking that would be just a gratuitous windfall payment (very welcome no doubt) to those creditors. It would surely be nothing to do with BBHL, or the administration, or the liquidator. The payments might [ireflect[/i the written off debts, and might be made [ibecause [/ithose debts existed, but they would not be [irepayments[/i of the debts.
If it happened, it might leave the RFL looking like a good egg to such creditors, and I can see potential benefits. But I don't think for a minute they'll actually see a penny of it. If that was the plan I assume someone would be understandably wanting to make some capital out of it, and someone would have heard about it.

| Reminds me of the time when Wakefield got into SL we had to play 2 seasons without SL money I believe the RFL made a contribution but we were still behind everyone else with amount of Sl cash handed out.
Dont know what the rationale is unless the money has been drwan down by the previous regime under administration for the running costs, how many months did they pay the wages was it 3 at 200k amonth allegedly?

Guess the question is what where they advances for i.e. what period did they relate to? I don't know how the annual amount is divided up and paid out, does anyone else? Is it payments for the playing season or calendar year?
Even if the advances were on the 2013 Sky money the amount of reduction can't be anything like what the salaries were. There has to be something else being paid for. Odsal rent? That can't be that much either.
I'd be happy if it was going to creditors but it seems unlikely and my fear is that we basically bribed our way into SL by agreeing to take a cut that is then paid out to the teams that voted us back in. While I'm very pleased to in SL next year that would leave a bad a taste. Just speculation obviously!

No.
The administrator sacked most of the non-playing staff, so the ongoing payroll will have been maybe around (I guess) say £160k/month.
the administrator was responsible for paying the July and August payrolls ONLY. He seemingly said he would put the club into liquidation at midnight on 31 August as he was not prepared to or in a position to take on liability for the September payroll (very strange reasoning to me, but there you go).
The Sky normal monies are I gather around £110k/m?
I believe that matchday and other income covered other costs, from what we were told?
The RFL rent was supposed to be only around £6k/month?
The Statement of Affairs at the date of appointment showed no (significant) amount owing to the RFL, be it for rent or Sky monies advanced or anything. And Coulby and Agar (and Duckett) are legally responsible for and liable under that statement, and Coulby stated publically before then specific details of individual creditors etc, including the RFL, so we must assume the Statement of Affairs is both complete and accurate?
So, on that basis, it must surely be a load of total bollox that these reductions for 2012/12 and 2013/14 have anything to do with "advances of Sky monies" or anything else to do with the RFL?

Never liked Kevin Costner, or any other Robbing Hood!!!!: |

| You are a ll thinking about it too much.
Nigel Wood has a Friday night big shop to do! This 1.2 million over 2 years will get him about half what he normally needs. He will be hoping Salford and/or Cas go into admin too, then he can keep himself in the way that he has become accustomed!

I must admit I never understood why some people apparently needed to go into a box to think in the first place. I try to limit my exposure to the marketing department to avoid contracting these strange notions!
