| Any idea why he didnt play?
Injured, something to do with the current situation?
Anyhow, chance for Scruton to stake a claim.
Also Potter saying Jobe Murphy coming into contention, wonder what he's like.

| Sounds to me as Hargreaves is gone whatever happens, if it's the case he was fit but didn't play yesterday because of everything that's happening (I think it came out he's asked to be allowed to speak to other clubs). Is there any point keeping him now?

| Well, it was very much part of the Administration story that Hargreaves had been pleading with Brendan Guilfoyle to be allowed to speak to other clubs. It was interesting that he, above any others, was mentioned by name.
If it was the case that he was dropped due having his head elsewhere, then good for Mick Potter! And I hope, going forward, that the same will apply to others. I think last night shows what can be achieved when you've got 17 guys fighting for the cause and busting their gut for the shirt.
If Bryn Hargreaves (or anyone else) doesn't want to be part of that, then

| Well done Potter.
No hard feelings to Bryn for putting his future first, but think anyone can see what last night did mean to the lads who played.

| I think we maybe need to remember that these are blokes with families to feed and mortgages to pay before slinging disparaging remarks around. I for one was thrown out of a job back in the eighties in a similar position and, (understatement) for anyone who doesn't know, it's not a nice place to be. For someone in that position to worry about the future is only natural and, much as I love the Bulls, I would [iexpect[/i each and every player, coach and member of office staff to be, discretely, putting 'feelers' out.
The players are just like us in one respect; they are being treated like mushrooms, by the moneymen. But they are human beings with their own personal problems and priorities and much as I feel pride in, and laud the way the players have performed over the last few months, they are individuals who will react differently. [iIf[/i the odd player does feel the problems are overwhelming, I can empathise, and am certainly not going to criticise a very human reaction.

Having gone through this predicament last month, it's not a nice place to be and we need to remember, these peoples livelihoods are at stake.

Agreed, my question is whether just to let him go as he won't stay past the end of the season and obviously won't be in a good place for the foreseeable.

| I think we just see what next week brings, if a solution is found, i'd be happy to give him a chance.
Lets also remember, these are just rumours atm, he could have picked up an injury...

| Hargreaves is also ooc at the end of this year so financial crisi or not alot of players in this situation are already sorted ie Brown at Hudds, Arundel, Gaz Ellis
Lets remember the players also risking injury that played last night who are contracted for next year which at the moment doesnt give them that much security

| He didn't play because of a pulled calf I'm lead to believe.
But as other people have said. These are people with real life problems and commitments. Having spoke to Bryn on a few occasions I think he'd be the first to sign a new contract at a stable Bulls...but with administration looming and it looking as though the players will not be getting paid surely it's only natural to try find something secure. These lads have mortgage and car payments just as ourselves. They're are not millionaires and need to put food on the table.

| I would have thought that most players, with what they earn, could stand a month or two or mortgage payments etc.
However, that doesn't mean that all of them could and that any of them should have to.
All of the staff must put themselves first.
