Despite the consistent success during the early chapters of the summer era, Bradford really do post an truly horrendous record away at St Helens.

So tonights inaugural visit to the magnificent & sumptuous Langtree Park, presents the Bradford Bulls, a most unfamiliar chance to record only their 3rd League double over St Helens in 33 years.

How fitting it would be for this 2012 side (after all the threats of adversity they have faced) to join the great sides of 1997 & 2000, with an spirited & vigorous display at St Helens tonight.

In what will be Super League meeting number 47, St Helens 24 wins, Bradford 21 wins and the sole draw last year in 2011 (14-14).

History beckons!!!!

It's not so magnificent on nights like tonight will be. It's due to be extremely wet and extremely windy. Depending on the wind direction, this may mean fans (of both sides) getting totally soaked while waiting at the bar, going to the loo, whatever, not because they are outside but because the club forgot to make the concourses on the inside. Also, it gets draughty in the stands as there are no walls at the back.

So ... come prepared for a wet winter's day, and wear waterproof footwear too just in case you encounter indoor puddles.

I'd love to know what goes on inside the head of people like you.

Why choose to derail a thread with your boring, predictable negativity?

Surely as a self-acclaimed "SaintsFan" you would want to help promote a positive feel about our club and the new stadium. Instead, you decide to spout this doom and gloom drivel which will only discourage away fans from visiting us. Is that what you are trying to acheive?

You really are a miserable little woman.

Hopefully the press box is adequately insulated then. The thought of my and the clubs equipment being exposed to the outside elements, isn't a good thought.

You wont be wet Mick the press facitities are second to none, as is the whole stadium, sure we get a little wet in the concourses but you do at Hudds queueing for a burger , hope a lot of you come over to the new place and enjoy your evening, (except for the result of course) , oh and I stand in the West terrace (popular end) and havent been rained on yet,

Sounds, ever so slightly, a bit like a home game. Neither the weather nor the stadium is the problem though - just the wrong clothes. icon_lol.gif icon_biggrin.gifEPRESSED:

Sadly, I won't be there tonight as I'm going to Scotland early in the morning; first Bulls' game at Saints I've missed since errr, actually I can't remember the last time I missed a game at Saints......new ground as well, COYB!

To be honest I quite appreciated the honest assessment. I was planning on going fairly 'lightweight' in clothing considering it is meant to be a modern covered stadia. Hopefully I'll keep my feet dry now with some waterproof boots!

I guess that depends on your experience. The last time it was blowing a gale and raining hard, I got soaked - and that was on the concourse waiting to be served a coffee! There were some big puddles on the concourse and the smooth (indoor like) concrete gets very wet. It is also wet for about half way up the standing terraces when the wind is blowing.

I'm in the West Stand and so enter the stadium at where it can be worst.

However, if the wind is blowing in another direction the concourses will be dry, just as I said in my original post.

You'll be in the South Stand, which is the posh stand. It has walls! And rooms with heating in them! Stuff like that. You'll be nice and cosy in there. Apparently the press box is very posh.
