| To my mind they have been poor for some time - lacking imagination, often hurried and rarely putting the opposition under pressure. They have a sense of "We've run out of ideas, you have a go".
Are there statistics on how we compare with the rest of the league in this regard?

| facetious answer no 1: its because we so rarely get to the 5th tackle due to knock ons forward passes crossing etc etc, so a bit more practice and we might just see a bit more variety, that also succeeds in the way you say.
obtuse answer no 1: I would rather see our defence putting the opposition under pressure as it provides the platform to work from

| what was our set completion rate yesterday? We gave away some daft penalties but can't remember dropping too much ball?

| Not sure whether this is a complaint about what we do on the fifth tackle when we have the ball or the opposition. Either way there is plenty of room for improvement.

| Our fifth tackle option is to kick straight to opposition full back isn't it?

That, or to kick it straight at an advancing defender so it makes easy pickings for the opposition.

| Think is the least of our problems to be honest.
1st is attitude/aggression: Some players don't seem to care the fact they are the Bulls player. Some are happy to pick up thier pay packet. Purtell looks to have some aggression, but ideally you want it in your forwards. Only Elima shows any bite and fronts up. Rest just get bullied.
The sliding defence is awful and it is so easy to pur right. When the opposition pass the ball, half the team slides, then one player everytime comes in leaving a gap or an overlap. This is mainly down to the coach, but even i could put this right in a training session. It's about trust and i feel a lot of our players don't trust each other to make the one on one tackle, so they come in when they're not meant to be sliding and leave a gap.
Then theres a whole load of other issues. Potter has some work to do.

| They are horrendous, tbh I'm sick to death of seeing weak crossfield chip that ends up defused in goal, if youre going to chip it across field at least do it so it's just outside of the in goal area so there's a bit of pressure. Where's the grubber gone? most difficult one of all to pick up and puts a ton of pressure on and we simply dont utilise it enough.

how many tries were given away due to lack of sliding defence against Catalans?

That was always the case, but now rather than being behind the try line with little chance of escape the FB is 30m further up field.

| None, all Catalan tries barring two was created by running up the middle? Menzies pass for the last one and Sa's try. Otherwise it was Dureau and Hendo breaking through the middle.

| I like that Hendo. I think we should sign him. And that Menzies. I'd love to see him at the Bulls.

We didn't get much say in Henderson leaving. Menzies, however...
