I wouldn't mind him been put out on loan. Attacking wise i think he's decent, but his defence is very suspect and got found out a few times last year. I hope he has a future with us and it's just a loan to get some confidence

problem with that idea is he came from fev in first place. So is a loan back their going to improve his defence that much. Plus reading their forum sounds like player their announcing is a pemanent signing rather than a loan. Wouldnt be surprised if it is briggs as his face just hasnt seemed to fit with potter, but it could potentially leave us back in situation of looking for a standoff yet again at end of year given jeffries and sammut are both off contract and both potentially might not be retained (BJ due to age, Sammut due to us needing quota spot - either for manase or a new signing).

If true then it's a shame that we never even gave him a chance to partner Gale in the halves, but we have to trust MP in situations like this and hope he makes the right decision.
I just hope this isn't an act of desperation to get some cover in for positions where we are weakest (Pryce/Joseph) and Kyle has been the one to fall on the sword as it were. I reckon if we'd managed to offload Sykes/Platt then Kyle wouldn't be going anywhere.

Only Potter knows why Briggs is being left out of the team (at least for the moment).
A decent attacker last season, and yes - not so good in defense but he wasn't the only one in that area.
