I'd be hoping to see runouts from Purtell, Gale and Sammut as far as the new guys are concerned. I doubt very much that Lulia will feature, and Kear/Manase are both injured.

Lulia isn't fit yet, but I certainly think its time we saw Purtell

can see where you're coming from re: gale but think it would be a very bold call making him captain given his age and relative lack of experience and fact he's only just joined club. Would be along same lines as when robbie got captaincy at a young age, although he had been at club a while already. Cant see past one of L'estrange,Langley or Diskin getting it probably in that order of likelihood, with Elima maybe having an outside chance too.

yes I did forget Elima who's another contender. but worth a look at Gale in a friendly, for potential further down the line. didnt he captain the Leeds Academy final winning team, just gone to his Wikipedia page and its been wiped other than the stats bit and very basic info.

I update the Luke Gale wikipedia page and I assure you it hasn't been wiped since at least September. I added the Bulls part and havn't taken anything off at all.

agree entirely about gale in a year or two. just think its a bit early this time round,both in terms of his experience, and also think he needs a period in team to earn respect of the other players. Pretty rare for a new signing to be made captain without them playing a game for club. Exception to that is when a club brings in a world class player with lots of experience.
