| Going travelling then finishing a degree, says the T&A. Presumably that's it for him then.

| Shame it didn't work out for him
Obviously not good enough to make a go of it in NRL, and now proven to be not really up to SL standard. So carving out another career and maybe playing a bit of part-time stuff at lower level would seem to be sensible
Good luck to him

| Does the 'four new signings' mentioned in the t&a that potter expects to arrive consist of Lulia, Gale, Sammut and Purtell or new ones?

| Was a time when we had great contacts in Aus and so acquired some real hidden gems. One question would be, who "discovered" Herbert for us? Or maybe it was just a good sales pitch by his agent?

I'd guess that against the backdrop of the overlong drawn out Orford affair, along with MP still being employed by Saints at the time, it was a case of taking what was available at a late stage. The club/Potter clearly weren't too certain hence the one year deal. It's a shame for the lad and he had his moments, and he's had a fair shot, but he's hardly done enough to earn a new deal. I wish him all the best for the future.

| Herbert's agent is now a sand salesman in Saudi Arabia. Doing very well too.

I heard his agent was a Mr Offiah? Got a good record of compiling you-tube videos of his clients!

Yes, I'm sure that's right, it's just that now we know Herbert is leaving the sport, I wonder how keen he actually was on playing a few more years when he was being offered to us.

| I wonder if all of you who were so quick to condemn B4C for getting it completely right about Herbert from the off will be as quick to come on here and apologise?
I very much doubt it. Not in their make up I am afraid.

Nah, not in the same class. Marc isn't our greatest import, but he had a few decent games for us, and in truth showed some skill and endeavour, whilst..............................
