I see the academy side went down 92-4 versus HKR at the weekend. What's going on there?

I suspect the points Red has been making for some time may be proving to be well-founded? It becomes increasingly difficult to not be concerned.

You can't carry on with results like that. There's been too many games when we've been murdered by 60+.

It's hard enough for the first team but at least they're paid a fair bit.

Where's that duty of care that Hood spoke about? Results like that hardly show us as a great place to come to any aspiring teenage player.

I told folks a long time ago that the junior set up was better b4 hull turned it upside down. imo

Generally speaking, since the restructure of the academy, ave th players produced been good enuff?

It just shows that what is wrong, is wrong all the way through the Playing and Coaching set-up. This is something that needs addressing. I've only seen a few Academy games and from what I've seen they play exactly the same as the first Team, same silly errors and mistakes.

I was at the game and the Bulls were the worst Academy side i have seen this season by a distance. I had assumed that perhaps you had played a lot of young lads with your actual under 18s playing in your under 20s side but you were physically bigger than Rovers so not sure that was the case.
It surprised me to be honest because with kids like Whitehead, Donaldson, Burgess, Addy, Olbison etc you have obviously invested in your youth.
The ref blew up early in both halfs aswell with the game only lasting 70 minutes so it could have been worse.

Maybe HKR have a good team?

The academy maybe poo now. But in general the lads are of no worse quality of those at other super league clubs, The one very noticeable difference is that the lads never seem to be the same type of player they were once the sign us as they were at amateur level.
