Matt Diskin is having surgury on his shoulder on friday. Will be out for rest of season. Been playing with the injury for 10 weeks. Will be back in November for pre-season.

Addy as starting Hooker, O'Brien as Bench Hooker. Tbh it bloods a youngster and gives a few more starts to Addy so I'm happy

Matt Diskin out for season due to shoulder injury. That he played on for so long with this problem is testament to the man. A real warrior.

Makes more sense of whats been going on. Thought he'd gone off the boil abit and noticed that he only came back on on Sunday when Sykes went off injured. Addy played nearly the whole game.

Wouldn't be surprised if Jeffries, Kearney and Sykes aren't injured aswell. I think Jeffries pulled up in the warm up but we played him anyway. He went off with the physio and didn't come back until kick off. Kearney limped off in the second half aswell.

Season now over. Try to look forward to next

Very brave indeed from Diskin, whilst he hasn't been in breathtaking form he has performed well carrying the injury. Is this the White flag from the club or would he had the op now regardless of Sunday's result? I hope there is some determination from some players to try and finish the final games with some positives. We have 3 winnable games left IMO, if we lose more than we win then that will be another kick in the teeth for the fans and the club.

Addy, very talented player, but no hooker.

True, I hope the lad gets a decent run out at loose sometime soon. He's had his first season and a half in the first team pretty much always playing out of position.

Indeed, but at least Addy is skilful enough to do us a job. Otherwise we'd be relying on O'Brien and someone else.

How unlucky are we to lose both hookers to injury? Also the injury explain why Diskin's struggled a bit. Hopefully he'll be back to his best next season.

In the meantime it's a chance for young O'Brien.

Respect to Diskin for playing on but this is surely now an acknowledgement that the club think the season is gone too. Best get him sorted and ready for pre-season then risk it getting worse.

I don't know about the season being gone. If we beat HKR we're back in with a very slim chance of the 8. Lose that though and it's all over.

Perhaps Diskin was just in a state where it was becoming too much of a problem?
