Leeds Rhinos vs Bradford Bulls won't be on Sky TV for only the third time in 16 years.

Instead Sky Sports will be showing Warrington vs St Helens and I can't say I blame them.

On the plus side it should mean that Headingley is close to selling out for the first time this season.

Just another sign of the Bulls decline.

Though i will say the past two games on SKY between the two have been as good as anything so far this season ( probably a bit of bias in that mind ). What's the other sky game that weekend? Leeds vs Bradford is always a must for me on SKY. I'd say surely Leeds and Bradford are two of the biggest areas in terms of Sky sports subcribers that wanna watch RL.

I doubt Headingley will sell out. If we keep the form we are in not many Bulls fans will turn up. I remember going there in '08 i think when we were doing quite bad and the turnout was a bit of a shocker.

Never miss it so will only downside is not seeing the replay if we manage an upset, and probably getting screwed by some ref decision.

Wigan vs Huddersfield is the other game.

Fair enough but it annoys me a bit that games like Leeds vs Bradford can't be made available for SKY, and we end up with pretty dire games.

And has Wigan Vs Saints or Hull vs Hull Kr every not been on Sky during super league.

Maybe, just maybe Sky want to show competitive games between two decent sides. Hence why we will not be on.

Derby game or not we have no divine right to be on and if we were not such a laughing stock then maybe we would be.

Edit, on second thoughts maybe we should be on as we have shown enough this season to suggest that we actually only raise our game v Leeds. Maybe if we took this narrow minded mentality into games v the other sides then we would not be as bad as we are.

Well, as already mentioned it's not the first time the Rhino Bulls confrontation has been sidelined. As you say though both games they have shown have been excellent, full of incident, skill and controversy, so I think Sky got good value. In fact the one lasting thought after both, from our POV disappointing, games was that "at least" they were good for the TV audience.

To be honest, I always enjoy my visits to Headingley (some more than others)and haven't missed one for years, so I'll be there. A pint (or two) in the Arcadia followed by some fish and chips from that chippy opposite the Headingley Taps and a good game, roll on!

The game against Catalans Dragons, scheduled for Sunday July 3rd at Odsal, will now take place a day earlier after being selected to be shown on SKY TV.

The game will now take place on Saturday July 2nd with a kick off time of 20:00.

The Bradford vs Hull KR game will also be shown I suspect looking at the fixtures that weekend.

It'll be either Friday 8pm or Saturday 6pm.

The game is a huge one for both sides. Bulls desperate for the 8 and Leeds desperate for some decent form.
