| He has gone a bit grey hasn't he?
I'm not sure a new coach is the issue. More important is getting some better players.

Agreed.
I think 6th - 8th is where we will end up, which is an improvement.
It's then a case of bringing in some quality and class to replace some of the squad fringe players.
Class in the halves, centres and and impact forward is where I see us needing to strengthen.
That coupled with more time to implement the "Potter way" should see us improve again next year.

How about Noble if we're changing coach?

As I see it Wire, Wigan, Saints, Hudds and Leeds will make up the top 5.
After that I think anyone is fair game for 6,7,8.

| Didn't Hood state recently that the club would look to eventually replace Potter with an English coach? So in that case I'd be maybe looking at one of the following in the long term:
Francis Cummins
Daryl Powell
James Lowes
Lee St Hilaire
Jamie Peacock
Brian McDermott
Iestyn Harris
Brian Noble - I took Hood's comment to refer to a younger coach but you never know...
John Kear
Richard Agar
Steve McNamara
Maybe you should stick with Potter for as long as possible

Out of that lot I'd stick with Potter or bring Nobby back. Otherwise I'd be after an Aussie who's got NRL experience either as head coach or an assistant with a good record.

| I do consider it bonkers that Noble isn't coaching. He might have his flaws but he's still a tremendous coach. He's the only British one I'd consider.

| Be interested to see how Iestyn makes out as a possible long term replacement. Bit too soon at the moment and I'd love him to go to Aus and get some experience coaching down under because there MUST be a reason why their coaches seem to be so much more successful...
Why not sign him from Crusaders whilst still under contract upon the advise of some shady sports lawyers and then end up being skinted again as they suck the very lifeblood from our club leaving us a shadow of the once mighty team we were.

Pretty much guaranteed to be taking over Huddersfield when Brown leaves I'd say.

Paul Anderson has done very well - which is a kinda a surprise when you think back to that team, and who would have been expected to come through into coaching.
I'd have expected Jimmy Lowes or Robbie Paul to be the most obvious coaching prospects from that team

Robbie's always been pretty open about saying he isnt interested in coaching side and more into media side of things. Seems to me that Jimmy wants to coach but struggles with man management side of it a bit.
