| I would say we'd be due compensation if he did leave, but then, with Aussies going back to the NRL, we all know there are ways around that!
Seriously though, I'd be amazed if he upped and left now after only a short while in the job.

I reckon the RFL would happily let Steve McNamara out of his contract to return to Odsal.

| As Dilligaf rightly says Mick Potter won't be jumping ship, why would he?

| Before we all go OTT, let's face the fact that if any coach got the opportunity to coach Brisbane Broncos, then it's gonna take some turning down. Quite ironic if one of our old boys replaced another of our old boys at the Broncos.
I should imagine Potter would be 100% definitely on their list, and quite high up their list, but not at the very top of their list. So i wish them good luck in their hunt
Actually I subscribe to the view that few of these sackings take place without some sort of deal or understanding having already been reached with the new man in advance, and it's for that reason that I'm not too pessimistic. Unless the done deal is, of course, with him!

IF (and it's a big If I think) Potter was to leave now, I think Francis Cummins would be the more likely successor. In fact, if and when Potter leaves in 2 years time, I expect Franny to be the one stepping into the role.

| Thought that name rang a bell. He played for Northern in the 89/90 season, and came back a couple years later to play for Hull. I'd no idea he'd graduated to head coach material.
