| If you want the best out of Royston then the only option is Fullback.
i know you have other options in that position but having watched Royston play the last couple of years, there won't be one of them with better support play.

I have a feeling, sir, you may be proved right. Kearney is great at FB but I suspect Royston will be the man if not him. Halley just runs the ball out at the biggest bugger in the defensive line...very very brave but not the best strategy surely?
I think that, unless we can find a specialist #6 very very soon (and Leon is going nowhere after the Baaaaath RahRahs have said their bit), Kearney will be our SO. And I think Raynor and probably Ah Van will be on the wings. And a bloody strong wing pair too. Walker will surely be in the centres - I think he will do SO good for us there - and I think Platty too. If they put Ah Van in the centres then its Ainscough on the wing. Either way its a much stronger threequarter line than many give us credit for. Most of them will SO want to show the Sky and press waknerey that they know Jack Shît. We have guys there with something to prove.
And I think they will.
Herbert has the greatest opportunity a Bulls player has had for ages. Ten thousand or more Bulls fans will be willing him on. Its there waiting for you, son. The opportunity of a lifetime. Go for it!!!!

| The whole point of Potter putting together such a large squad is that - injuries permitting - he'll be able to vary his starting 17 each week and rotate the forwards at will.
Many people might not select the likes of Hall and Sibbit in their starting 17, but you can be sure that they will be used on more than one occasion throughout the season. I'm actually looking forward to seeing Hall play in his preferred position, when we have Scruton, Lynch, Hall, Elima and Langley all on the pitch at the same time (if it ever happens), we should have some pretty good go-forward.

Unless he's improved drastically from last year, he doesn't deserve to be.
If he has improved, excellent, let's see the ability he's supposed to have. If he hasn't, there's better options in the squad.

I'll reserve judgement on hall until we see him playing his prefered position at 2nd row. Whilst we originally brought him over with the intention off him playing prop, he certainly proved last year that he isnt suited to it. After watching him the year before he came over playing for manly he certainly looked a lot more effective in 2nd row.
on a side note does anyone know the rules re loaning out a quota player? if we loaned hall out would that free up a quota spot to register herbert if orford situation isnt resolved before season starts?. We'd probably have to carry on paying halls wages but we're doing that if he's sat on sidelines anyway. If we could loan him out to crusaders say at least he'd be match fit if recalled once orford is resolved.
