reardon and worrincy fair enough but think sheriffe has enough potential that he's worth a year under a different coach to see how he goes. we're gonna struggle to find one winger without having to look for 2 imo. Dont see halley as an ideal option, with finigan a decent prospect but still a year or so away from being a regular starter.

Until you actually suggest some legitimately practical replacements, then your suggestions of 'who need to go' hold absolutely no merit whatsoever.
It's too easy to sit there and list players we should get rid of without naming suitable replacements.

Worrincy can most certainly be replaced from within as we have our fair share of promising young back row forwards coming through. Given the lack of three quarter talent that is available in the UK however then it will be much harder to find players that can improe on what we have in the backline unless a rich backer suddenly appears on the scene with money for transfer fees, however I suspect there is more chance of Bullseye eating his hat then there is of a sugar daddy suddenly appearing on the scene.

| Some players I might consider as useful additions to the 2011 squad;
Fielden or Dowes
Wild (If his injuries are sorted)
Jessie Joe Parker (very impressive when I've seen him at fev, clearly should be playing at SL level IMO and could be worth a gamble for a powerful addition to the outside backs)
A stand off, no idea who TBF, but we need one - use our quota spot if we have one open next year for this. Kearney to be starting FB, sykes to not be at 6.
Outs? Well I reckon you could make a case for or against a fair number of the squad if you wished. But I think Worrincy will go and at least one of Sheriffe/Reardon/Halley, I'm also not convinced Langley, Manzies or Sculthorpe will be with us next year. Obviously I hope Im wrong about Langley and Menzies, but Langley could go somewhere to challenge for honours and Menzies might wonder if its worth the effort of going around again for another transitional season.

doh and doh. Thats a shame, good signing by wakey I reckon.
Well, they would have been good for us... This was always going to be the downside of waiting to get the right coach, missing out on players that have already sorted their futures for next year.
Which is why players like sheriffe, whilst hardly top drawer, might need to be retained as there isn't a better replacement available. Internal pressure for places from the likes of finigan is probably the best we can hope for. Unless Potter unearths some gems from the NL or NRL if we have a quota spot available.

Kear certainly seems to have the knack of dipping in to the lower leagues and uncovering gems. Makes you wonder why more clubs don't.

Another quick but generally average winger in the same mould as Sheriffe. Not gonna be a great signing, but I'd say he's better than Reardon at the moment, and with the scarce amount of wingers available....

It also helps to know how much money and length of contract they are demanding. Both for the "outs" and the replacements.

And I think that's what he'd end up as. He strikes me as almost identical to how Sheriffe was down there. Fast, good if you use him right, but lacks some of the skills to be a top winger. I fully expect he'd get the same treatment that Sheriffe gets now if he were to join.
Although if he were the same player joining from Leeds, he'd be hailed as awesome.

Thats spot on to me. With Donaldson, Scruton and Sculthorpe back next season, and Hall in the second row (where I believe he was originally signed to play) it won't leave much game time for Worrincy, always assuming that others are resigned. I think also Menzies, who I hope is resigned, would be able to play in the centres where he is a class act. Anyone saying Rikki Sheriffe isn't the best winger in the world may be correct, but with the Beaver at centre he's a totally different player.
