| And now it looks possible that Platt will get a ban for a dangerous throw. Great.

| It was a bad one though, so he can have no complaints really.
And yet some morons near me were still berating Child for penalising Platt for it
It was probably Mr Gledhill!

| Reardon ok with his high tackle as it hit the shoulder and not the head - no charge
Robinson/Godwin ok as well with their shoving match - no charge

| Platt's tackle looked like it was just the way all three of them were moving and it turned the Hudd player upside down.

| There was nothing wrong with that tackle his body was still horizontal when he was grounded, it looked worse than it was, the player got straight up, but any ref would have signalled it, the "judiciary" should find no case to answer or maybe a caution at worst!
Anyone thinking that was a bad tackle hasn't seen much Rugby in either code!

| Nothing wrong with it.
He'll be let off unless Cummings is on the pannel.

Depends on the RFLs view on helping expansive clubs.
As has been said above - it [ilooked [/ibad, as did Reardons on Patrick but in both incidents the players got up and carried on playing straight away and there was no altercations because of it - I would be surprised if Platt got banned - but this is Rugby League.

| Hmm, I disagree. I think it was a pretty dangerous tackle - the Hudds player was actually completely at a vertical angle for a split second - and Platt may get a ban for it. Perhaps his record may get him off, or not, I'm not sure what his record is like tbh.
I don't quite see how the fact that nobody was hurt matters much either - by that rationale we only punish dangerous play if it actually results in inury, and that's pretty stupid.
I imagine the RFL concentrate more on a tackle's potential to do serious injury to someone, and in this instance they were lucky the Hudds player actually flipped beyond the vertical and back onto his back again, his feet were facing his own posts when he hit the floor!

| I didn't see it but it can't be worse than Sykes on Hick, unless it was high as well.

| Don`t worry he will get off with a slap on the wrist.
Worse case scenario he could always appeal.
It always pays to have the England coach on your side
Now if it was Brent Webb he would have got 6 matches.

Well no one got kicked in the face so it can't have been too bad.
