| I guess Im starting this thread to get an idea of how people are feeling seven rounds into the new season.
Did that comeback victory over Wigan paper over the cracks, as so many were saying at the KC stadium on Friday?
Im where I expected us to be, if Im honest, so I guess Im happy and content with the season to date.
I don't think any other club has had such a hard start to the season, playing the top five sides in the Super League (three of which away from home).
I said on total rl at the start of the season that to be at 50% (played 8, won 4, lost 4) leading into the Leeds game at Easter would be the minimum on which to build.
I know we still have to play Harlequins and that we could infact drop more points, but I feel come 21:40 on Friday at Odsal with Silverwood getting a good booing as he leaves the pitch, we'll be at 50% for the season.
Anyone else care to share their thoughts?

| I'm pretty happy too Mick.
I think we'll be W5 L5 after 10 games, I also think our win ratio will improve to around 60-65% by the end of the season, giving us a finishing spot of 4/5/6th.

| I think given the nature of the first few fixtures we've done ok. The only game I've been disappointed with was really Saints at home. That was the performance not ther result as I sort of expected it. When you look at it we are miles in front of where we were last year and the team have improvement in them. I'm still quietly confident of a finish well within the play off spots.
I think we'll do ok. I really think the club will kick on though once Macca leaves at the end of the year and Lee St hillaire takes over. Players like Mike Worrincy will flourish under his leadership.

| I think there is no reason why we can't win three of the next four games (the Leeds game being the possible loss). We owe the Crusaders one for the 30-24 loss last season and we are still the only undefeated Super League club in France (I know about the cup game, but Im just talking Super League), so that is maybe something for the players to hold and keep going.
I think we'll put up a good fight at Headingley, even with Leeds having nine players out for the big showdown next Thursday, I feel we'll be well equiped to deal with them.
The Headingley pitch doesn't looked to have improved at all since the pre-season game back in January and as Castleford (28-10) & Hull KR (17-10) have seemingly used it to their advantage.
Exciting times ahead, I feel.
Just a shame that the crowds at Odsal are at best 'static'.

| I'm a bit disappointed but probably where i expected us to be. Saints result was the most disappointing with the Wigan result as the obvious most rewarding.
I just worry our about our obvious lack of firepower but i never expected this team to win anything anyway.

I agree with this. Although I could see us giving Leeds a game. The way they are at the moment the only thing is the pitch. We really have struggled (except Salford) when the pitch is heavy.
We've had the hardest start but are still holding our own.

| Leeds have been terrible every time I have seen them, Storm apart. You wont have a better chance of beating them at HQ than this time.

Our record at Headingley is stronger than at Odsal ( In SL ). Though last time we won there was 2007.

| I think the best game I've ever seen us win at Headingley was the second league game there in 2005, where the week leading upto the game, everyone was saying how Leeds were going to do this, do that etc. . . . . . We won 42-10.
The playoff game there in 2004 was special as was the 33-22 victory there back in 1998. We had Scales sent off by Cummings and had to do it the hard way with 12 men. The last minute wins with tries to Pryce (18-16) and Ferres (20-1icon_cool.gif also stay close to my heart.
Oh and the 44-2 hammering of the Whinos in the Murrayfield rematch in 2000 was a good but expected win.

| I'm pretty much in the same boat as everyone else. I'm hardly delighted, but we're where I expected us to be after the first game of the season (I was a little too optimistic before the Huddersfield game).
I think that the next four games will give us an idea of where we are, all four are winnable and hopefully we will move up the table by the middle of April and stay there as the team continues to improve.

| If we have a good game on Friday there is no reason that we can't carry it on to Leeds
Onwards and upwards
