| Third game in four (all away from home) we've matched the opposition for tries and lost by the odd goal kick. Shame, but onwards and upwards, a better effort in the second game of the weekend than some clubs managed, it seems.

| Reasonable performance from the team all things considered. I thought it was a pretty even contest on the whole with both sides having dominant periods throughout the game. Unfortunately a few lapses in concentration such as letting the ball bounce out of play after just after scoring (still not learnt our lesson there) and an interception from a sloppy pass cost us the points.
Unfortunate to see Crookes go off injured, leaves us looking very short in the centre's now. The shuffle certainly didn't help matters but Platt did ok in covering. Solomona looked well off the pace and only played around 25 mins or so and made a few handling errors before being replaced.
Menzies once again showed his class and could once again have quite easily won it for us. Get this guy signed up for another year!! I think Wakefield just about deserved their win, but it could have quite easily been a Bulls 2 points with our late surge!

Have to say I was a bit disappointed with Menzies on the whole.
Thought I 'd watch him closely with the fun and games on one of the threads on this board before the game. Fair enough he scored the two tries in the 1st half, but in all honesty, both were just a case of practically catching the ball and falling over the line.
2nd half I recall him doing a big hit on Kevin Henderson, but in all fairness Hendo aint the biggest lad and gets plenty of those week in week out but just gets back upand carries on and saw him do a one on one strip which we got the ball back from and not much else. Thought he went missing quite a bit in the 2nd half. Still a great player though..
Also, for a class finish from a centre... see Ryan Atkins...

OK, don't think the ref did us any favours. And that ending was just bizarre - was Tez complaining about the time, or that we should have had a penalty for a high tackle?
But...end of the day we lost - very narrowly and after a strong fightback which might have come off with ten seconds more on the clock - because we made too many errors and gifted them too much possession. Would everyone tend to agree?
Losing Crookes, Sol clearly not being fit, Lynch playing on one leg (how the HELL did he manage the stints he did - he looked dead by the end - should he have been played at all?) hardly helped. Plus missing Morro Deacs Nero and Godwin - was always a big ask against a side far above us in the table who coasted against Cas while we were slogging against Leeds. Won't get any sympathy from Wakey over injuries, of course!
The team looked tired out, mentally and physically - as you would expect after Friday. In the circumstances, I suggest they did pretty well and could - maybe with a better run of decisions and a few less errors - easily have come away with the points. No disgrace in the score.
Still nil points, mind we need some more runs on the board PDQ thats the trouble. But we were very close to them today despite the errors and tiredness.
Good to hear Bulls fans' reception for Moore, returning after his awful time out. Pretty depressing to hear the continual slagging off of Platt from people around us though.

| Two points lost, should of had them today, the forwards were on top and we controlled most of the game. A few too many errors and a gifted try for them cost us, bet the lads are kicking themselves, it was there for the taking today against a very average looking Wakefield side.

Falling over the line?
Can't quite work out if that's an insult to Menzies or the quality of your defence!
