| I think this guy has a lot prove, he looked a bit nervy on Sunday, didn't seem that interested, when Jeffries broke through he was no where backing up, came off his wing which after wathcing highlights was totally unescessary, it was 3 on 3 in the corner and then they scored a soft try, finally he was very average and looked slow at Dewsbury - Jamie Jones Buchanan's brother looked better - Your thoughts?

If you mean he came off his line when KR scored their second try he no choice but to come inside because he the lads inside him left him on his own.
I think that once settled in if he can play like he did on the occassions I saw him play for Quins he'll prove a good aquisition. That said i thought that of Paul Sykes who hasn't impressed me that much yet. I also think that as he's a Bradford lad that grew up a Bulls fan he'll be as nervous as hell and keen to perform so will take while to settle in.

No he didn't have to come in if he'd stopped out on his wing they wouldn't have scored as the 3 inside men were sliding across.

| Sheriffe was a strange signing for me, if you want to be challenging for honours then I believe you need better players than him. Certainly no better than Halley but far better than Penny who really is turd!

well then there should have been talk between the defence as to who had who. i doubt he would have ignored a shout.

| There were so many things going on on Sunday which just made our stop start beginning to the season look so obvious. Overall I think we defended OK, though not for their first try obviously, hopefully that will be the softest try we concede all season but, particularly on our line, we looked strong and, all things considered, pretty organised.

The second half defence was great but in the first half we conceded a try in the corner in what was KR's only visit to our end of the field. I'd like to see us defend consistentlt for 80mins before dishing out all the plaudits.

On the replay all three looked out of position to me creating a two on one outside meaning that Sheriffe had to go for the ball.

| The incident was analysed pretty well on Boots N All last night. Sheriffe was totally at fault. The three inside defenders had it deal with and were sliding out. He came in.
Either those three inside defenders weren't following the correct game plan and he was (unlikely) or it was Sheriffe's fault.

if a sees his winger coming in when he shouldn't then he needs a shout.

| Wow.
I am pretty surprised that Rikki has been flogged (on here) for allowing a try past his wing.
It was his first game for you and a try was scored.
Every single winger in the world, even the very very best, have had tries scored past them, where if they had stayed out on the wing it may have been stopped.
Leave the guy alone at least for a good few matches to see how he goes.
But do remember your fans played merry hell about Vainakolo in his first season with you (dropping the ball etc) and look how he turned out.
Before you all have a pop at me, I am not comparing Rikki with Volcano, all I am saying is that the guy needs time to settle in and find his feet.

| I Agree that he was totally at fault for the try, he was also very poor in attack and left Menzies stranded without an option on several occasions when Menzies was in the centre he was glued to his wing and wasn't available for the pass or he'd often overrun it.
I would also agree that he needs time, but I must ask why all these players need time when they've just had a long off season training together. These kind of signings should be about ready on day one, otherwise what is the point of them? We might as well give the kids a chance who will obviously also need time, so why as fans are we expected to give reasonably seasoned pro's time when I believe many of us would be happy to afford that luxury to a promising youngster.
I'm puzzled by it I must admit, it can only mean that our youth teams really are full of poor players!

| Looks like Rikki made an instinctive mistake. All wingers have done this, no big deal so long as it doesn't become a common occurance.
I'd like to see more from him in attack but it's early days. As a one time winger of no real ability I know the importance of support play and reading the game. The best wingers popped up in support of the playmakers and forwards who broke the line. Our wingers and fullbacks could improve this aspect of their play, as has been said it's no good just standing on the wing as you deprive yourself and your teammates of attacking options.
