As a head coach. Think he'd go we'll as an assistant and knows championship inside out which would help. Just a guess aeotd.

Unfortunately he didn't know The Championship inside out. His coaching manual hasn't received it's V.8.1 upgrade and he's still on the 2004 version. Lovely bloke though and a Fax player Hall of Famer. Just not a good coach.

Funny that, because he was Nobby's assistant at Odsal for a couple of years before leaving in 2002 to join Salford. When he left, we were reigning World Club Champions, as well as having beaten Wigan to be 2001 SL champions before going on to beat Newcastle Knights in his second year, when we again made the Grand Final.

Now, any troll on here will tell you that Nobby can't coach - never could - and had no Plan B. Given Harrison can't coach either, particularly it seems as a SL assistant coach, boy are we in trouble.

Maybe he'd just been at Fax too long? Got stale? Even if he is a bit of a lame duck as you say he's an improvement on what we have had which is no assistant at all.

When he left Fax early there were some rumours of off field problems to do with cash. If there was substance in that it could well have an effect on him and who he could recruit etc.

He's been there and done it as a player and as a coach he's done well on a limited budget in the past.

Well I'm very happy. I guess time will tell, but at this point outcomes are better than I had any reason to expect.

Didn't Fax finish 3rd in the league? Apparently with money problems , so it doesn't look like Rhino did too badly at all really.
