| Signed for Leigh Centurions, 2 year deal from 2015.
This announcement has resulted in 17 pages on the Leigh forum...50/50 split on a bad/good signing.
What do you reckon, if Bradford are in the 2nd tier next season, would you pleased/disappointed if you had re-signed Ben, at his age of 33 ?
Just wondered, I'm pleased, but some folk are going rather OTT about it.

| He does a job and can take the line on. Only criticism is that he often disappears in tough games.
He has (had) some speed, and could put someone through a gap.
For every great game he plays, it's often followed by 2/3 quiet games where you could be forgiven for thinking that he isn't on the pitch.
Saying that, a division down, he may shine better than he did in SL.

| TBH, signing a 33 year old on a long term deal like this one is bound to raise some eyebrows. Especially as he's been only playing on a part time basis so would need to get working to get back up to a full time fitness level

| Was a cracking player in his day. There is hardly a HB in SL who could not be accused of going missing or not performing every week. Some HBs get the blame, others get excused by blaming the forwards for not laying a platform.

| I think it's a good signing. At 33, and not playing for two years, it is a gamble. But he's a decent HB, and a smart one. He will guide your team around well and create plenty.

| Agree with all the above. Great experience but will lack match fitness to begin with, and won't get too much fitter at his age.

| He was a good player at the Bulls and though I agree he didn't always seem to be 'there' when needed, I'd be happy to have him back. He's got a good boot on him too.

| He'll do alright. Getting on a bit but will still have it between the ears.

When all our signings are one month loans, two years really does seem long term to us.

| I though Jeffries had retired and gone back to oz to be a miner? Or am I confusing him with someone else?.

| With Gale going we should be trying to unearth another young Deak's or Robbie rather than looking at a 33 year old. For Leigh he may be fine but I think we should be looking for a future international who is looking to make a name for himself.

| Said in T&A Jimmy is going to give Adam Brook a run out before end of season. This is great news, everytime I read the academy reports, Adam Brook is the star man. Don't get chance to watch the academy but for those who do, what do they think?
With Conroy also in squad it looks as though Jimmy is going to give youngsters a shot when their position is available rather than Cummins who would just play Addy there!

| From what I've seen of Adam Brook he's got plenty of pace.

| It seems like a lifetime ago now, but he played in the friendly against Hull in pre-season. He wasn't on for long, but looked lively and made a decent break. At the time I actually assumed he was one of Wire youngsters on loan, so it was a nice surprise to find out he was one of our own.
