| Oh dear. Slipping that one in amongst the good news are we?
I suppose it could be at a substantially reduced wage and involve responsibility beyond the pitch. On those terms it's not too bad, but we seem to stop when he's on the pitch - all he does is try to win penalties around the ruck.

| The wording of the article that accompanies the news has left me slightly perturbed. In it Cummins talks about the culture of the club being influenced by guys like Diskin and Walker, and you have to worry that this could be a little bit of "jobs for the boys" given that the article suggests he's reliant on old Leeds boys.
You have to wonder if this may be causing a them and us style spilt in the dressing room.

| I hope this isn`t one of the pieces of good news!!!!! This won`t sell season tickets.Even worse the T&A article refers to Heath maybe going back to the NRL.
Disco`s been a good player but he is now over the hill, now he slows us down when on the field.

How perceptive.Now we're getting somewhere
Yes,us and them could be very close.
Both Walker and Diskin should have been shown the door imo if we are serious about going forward as neither can now hack it at top level.
I would rather have Lowes/Robbie paul in charge.

| I read the article as basically saying heath is off and next year it's OBrien and diskin. But saying that earlier this year when the heath to Catalans rumors were going around he said on twitter he is a bull for another year . But I suppose that means nothing really.

| The deal offered to him was 50% less than what he was on on the original 3yr deal he came on.
Its a very good contract club wise as it gets rid of one of our biggest earners but keeps the experience at the club. We cant let them both go. I would have preffered Le'Strange as he has been better than Diskin for the last 3 years
Im looking forward to the 2 or 3 quota spots we are going to have avalible. We just need to know what Purtell has decided now. I heard yesterday we are looking at a centre from Cronulla called Pomeroy. Dont know how true it is though.

| The only reason I can see Diskin being retained is that the club know that Heath is leaving at the end of the year.

| TBH I don't think Diskin is half as bad as some make out. He's had some unimpressive games this season but so has L'Estrange. The main priority should be keeping O'Brien happy as he's the future.

Aye,that would be the only reason I guess. But he's still a dead weight imo.

| FC actually makes reference to Diskin being a good defender, which is worrying because Diskin is far from it. Hanbury's first try on Sunday being a prime example of his 'defending'.
Still, I can't blame Heath for wanting to go back home to raise his child. I wonder what the clause is in his contract exactly, could we be looking at another transfer fee? Not sure the aussies will pay too much because transfer fees actually count towards the salary cap over there.

Joe how long have you had access to what players are on or have been offered
It's depressing enough this morning with this news, without you adding to it
Please please don't say they can now sign a certain prop from South Sydney
