News has come out today that Stuart Fielden has retired from RL.

In his day, he was one of the best props in the world. One of my favourite players when I was a little one!

All the best for the future!

A Bradford great. Three titles, three WCCs, two CCs and for quite a while he was an automatic selection in any World XIII.

One of the awesome foursome, and an integral part of the glory days. At his peak, the best prop in the world, bar none, and we thankfully had all his best years to watch in person. And then to ice the cake, we made a mint by selling him to the desperate Wigan, which deals set us up some more.

I wish him a happy and successful retirement, he's more than earned it.

Good luck Stuart, with whatever you choose to do next. It's a shame it had to end on an injury but you were one hell of a prop and I'm sure you'll do well with whatever life throws at you. All the best for your future.

I do hope that the club do something at the Huddersfield game. He's earned it for his performances for us back in the day.

That would be a nice touch, shame we didnt get much out of him as a player but in the few games he did feature in he was very good for us, btw he's already joined our backroom staff following his retirement in case anyone was wondering.

Top bloke and player for us. Gutted when he went to Wigan, but for me no doubt we had his best years, he was never the same away from us. His type of game was brutal and I guess his body has suffered over the years. Totally off topic. The Huddersfield Examine yesterday reported the Keith Mason issue will cost Giants £400k. Shame, couldn't happen to a nicer club!!
