How long will it be before Tom joins Sam, Luke and George at South Sydney. Luke Burgess has signed a 2 and half year deal from now. I know Tom commited to the Bulls but i think he will be gone at the end of the season.

That's 10 minutes more FG than the other three played this weekend. He's young, he's doing well and developing and Potter is right not to get him into long duels with O'meley, Moa etc. If he wanted to be in Oz he'd be there and I suspect he's enjoying carving out his own identity rather than being in Sam and George's shadow.

Exactly. Tom has always had to deal with being a Burgess. Yeah, the name will get him some recognition but maybe the lad doesn't want stuff handed to him and would rather be recognised as Tom Burgess rather than being recognised as Sam's younger brother.

I would like to think our players play for the love of the game rather than PR stunts so i hope he will stay!

I'd like to think we could keep him till end of deal at least but if his heart was set on going it would be better for us if he went at end of this year. with a year left on his deal we should be able to get some sort of transfer fee like we did with sam and george to at least offset the loss( although admittedly it would probably be pretty nominal with just a year left on his deal). Think it comes down to toms personality and how keen he is to establish himself in his own right. If he went to NRL he'd very much be back in his brothers shadows.

Burgess break tackles and makes masses of yards everytime yet gets 10 mins a half and your happy with that? it said it all when he was taken off vs hull.. looking up at potter and shaking his head.

His performances don't warrant longer than 10 mins what with the 2 knock ons almost every game then the missed tackles and handling errors he brings to the side. Massively overrated just because of his sir name people rave about him! he was tragic against st helens and Wigan, yes he mixed it playing Salford but how many teams of salfords standard do we play week in week out.
