On a serious note, why not have the league leaders crowned champions for the championship and enter into a bottom 2 (SL) and top 2 (champ) play-off.

There may be a super league life line, with the way Salfords’ finances are at the moment, asking for advanced funding from super league to get them through the winter months.
Wouldn’t want to gain entry at the expense of a club in financial difficulties, as we have had more than most, but if someone were to benefit we should make sure we are best placed to step in.

Currently we're behind Toulouse, London and York in IMG scores. London have their own financial issues so can probably be discounted as contenders. I'm not sure SL clubs will want another French team in SL if they can do anything about it. York would appear to be in a good position with us making progress too.

I always thought that the only quick way in would be to replace another SL that went into Administration or worse.
