"This adapted format for 2022 will see five teams progress from round 5 of the 2022 Challenge Cup, and hence qualify for the 1895 Cup. [1] Any Championship, League 1 or Amateur team that subsequently wins in round 6 of the Challenge Cup will qualify automatically for the semi-finals of the 1895 Cup.[3] Two of the remaining qualifiers will be drawn into a play-off match on 9th/10th April, to reduce the five qualifiers to four teams for the semi-finals on the 7th/8th May, with the final held as a curtain-raiser for the 2022 Challenge Cup Final on the 28th May"

Well it sounds like we competed for the full 80 and I didn't expect that so I hold my hand up. Hopefully we can maintain our performance levels to something like that for our league games.
First time I've seen Kibula play, initially excited to see what he could offer when he came on.. big lad etc. Didn't seem to run with much purpose or aggression last night. Understand he is coming back from injuries so perhaps early days. Hope he's not another one of those forwards who look to have it all physically but lack that bit of mongrel.
To be fair to Kibula, as soon as he got the ball, 3 men were opon him instantly. He's not played rugby for two years due to covid and an achilles injury. Hopefully the more he plays the better he'll be. Remember us not being able to handle him when he played for Swinton.

One reason our halfbacks are looking very impressive is because they are both taking it to the line before passing and comitting defenders whereas previously half backs have been just catching and passing leaving defenders to read the play easily.
