| Any one manage to watch the highlights from 73 on Sunday?
Looked great to see the famous kit at the old wembley!
Blown away in the first 20 minutes, but some shocking defence meant we were never going to win.
What happened to Eddie Tees No1 shirt? He played the rest of the game in a shirt with no number on?

| I will always remember this match, we got hammered in 1st half, spent half the time shouting abuse (was a bit intoxicated though) at number 13, Stan Fearnley, I think his Dad was the coach? Anyway come the second half we did a lot better. We scored and all the arms went up. Next thing a wrist watch hit me right on the head. A thing of great beauty, absolutely expensive looking, so being drunk, I shoved it in my pocket to try to find out later who ever it belonged to. Well to cut a long story short, I was offered 800 quid no questions asked from the guy who had the jeweler's shop up Rawson street under the Pub. Nice one Cyril, pity though about the Northern losing.. But for many years I've kept quiet about Eddy Tees, Maybe about 10 years later he was player coach for some Lancashire team, not in any major Amateur league, and we played them in a cup match, He went around knocking hell out of the young kids in our team, really went to town on them.. A real piece of crap I've always thought since then. Afterwards I went up to him and told him he was a coward, plain and simple (thank Goodness I had my Uniform on)..and the strange thing is, he did say sorry and he admitted it.. It just stuck in my mind for these 30 odd years. Rant over. Hope everyone are all keeping fine and well. Take care.
