Makes zero difference. It's all decided between the two clubs whether there's a recall option or not.
The only rule around recalls is that you can't within the first 4 weeks (or 30 days, I forget which it is), to avoid people going out on loan for a week or two.

I’m told that you are getting another one permanent from Leeds, as well as two loans. Loans could change with the injury to Leeming at Leeds though.

Do you specifically know who the other permanent is?

The only difference a season long loan (normally) makes is the removal of the regular paperwork submissions needed for the loan extension beyond the initial 28 days.

Frankly, nothing would surprise me anymore...

If it's anything but a young player on a one year contract who magically signs back for Leeds in 12 or 24 months time, I'd be absolutely amazed.

I’d rather have that than a ‘season long’ loan that becomes meaningless when Leeds get a few injuries - and call the player back, leaving us in the lurch.
