I attempted to report the post as racist, but the board only appears to be a able to receive one report per post.

I don't really want to be part of a community that tolerates racism. I appreciate I can leave, but that's not really how it should be.

Edit - I'm not accusing you of tolerating racism, Christian. I realise it reads a little like that.

Yeah I'm not one to defend Pestegg and anything that may have got "them" kicked off here would have been ok with me, but I tend to agree with you (to a point). It's what Omar is known for, I don't think the comment was to do with his ethnicity.
That being said, I don't know why you'd refer to him as the curry man, but the other two by their names (why "Green" instead of "security guy"). That bit felt wrong. It's not like his name is hard to spell.

Yep that's the bit I fundamentally disagreed with. It's the fact two can be called by their surname yet one is implied as just the curry man.

What if Marc Green had only been made reference to by his religion (everyone knows Green was Jewish)... would that have been acceptable?

Pestegg's comment is quite clearly a racial slur. As others have said it is the change in employed language that differentiates the comment as racist. It also doesn't take long to prepare a retraction of said comment. I could do it now:

"I apologise for the misguided comment xyz. It was never intended as a racist comment and the post has now been edited to reflect this. I do not endorse racism in any form".

That would cut it. Pestegg plays by different rules though, apparently. Rules that I personally do not support.

Please get rid of them.

I don’t think it’s racist but deliberately inflammatory and like all of pest eggs posts, it was designed to provoke a reaction.

Why not the restaurant bloke and as DILLIGAF said, why is it only Omar who didn’t get his name used?

As others have said, Omar seemed to always have good intentions even if it didn’t end any better. He deserves a hell of a lot more respect than most of the others.
