If the club issue a statement at all (I'm not holding my breath) then I expect them to say it was just an administration/clerical error or some rubbish like that. Even if that is true, it's such a huge error that it proves to me that those in charge of running the club aren't fit to do so. No you have to auto enrol people straight away. I have just set up a business and started employing people.

The employees can opt out but must do it direct to the pension provider.

The thing that gets me is whoever does the payroll adds the pension on and the provider takes a monthly direct debit from you.

The administrative errors aren't good enough. I think an overhaul of the office staff is needed. As Nothus said, this stuff is absolute basic for a company to get right.

The club really need to invest in someone like Michael Carter who will have that backroom running like clockwork.
