| I have to wonder if Damian Irvine’s fall out at BPA is somehow connected to this.
Did negotiations there turn sour? Seems like Mr Roberts has a bee in his bonnet with his talk of starting a new club.
There is so much cloak and dagger going on that it’s impossible to know what to think. AC’s confidence in moving back into Bradford in 2-4 years is ridiculous if there isn’t something already at quite an advanced stage with someone, but who could that be?

| The simple fact is that unless miraculous events occur at Valley parade, both re the pitch, and re the massive rent, we won't be going there, and there is nowhere else.
I can't believe that we can build a new stadium, because we are not associated with anyone who has that sort of money.
And I can't see the Council building us a new stadium at Richard Dunnes
So to me, the only way we end up back in Bradford is if the RFL/Council back down, and renegotiate an affordable occupancy. Which seems unlikely

| I don't think the council are in a position to back down, to be fair. After all the cuts and given the number of mandatary areas they have to look after I'd guess RL won't be on their front burner.

| It would have to be part of a large development, for the community, that fulfils the council's statutory requirements for Public health improvement.

| I guess that having pro sport in the city is always an encouragement to youngsters to take it up and keep fit, yeah, I'll go along with that.

Yet they've managed to find £1.4m for another capital of culture bid.

| INteresting on the Dave Woods podcast. It was suggested that some of the money for the 2021 World Cup should be used to build a community stadium at Odsal that could then be used for cup semis etc. and also national academy training and offices instead of continually paying out for the Etihad facilities.

Good suggestion from Dave Woods. Have the RFL moved their entire operation over to the Ethiad yet or are they still working out of Red Hall?

Not sure whether it was actually Dave himself or the publisher of League Weekly that suggested it.

I listened to that podcast which is very good by the way.I got the distinct impression listening to John Kear that he felt he had been kept in the dark somewhat by AC regarding special measures, financial issues etc and wasn't very happy about it.
