You know it's entirely possible to think both Chalmers and the RFL are pretty reprehensible at the same time- if you'd clicked through to the larger post, you'd see that I'm hardly complementary about the RFLs vested interested in the case. In fact if you'd read my post at all you'd know I don't have an issue with moving the club away from Odsal.

The only thing I agree with from the RFL is that they have called Chalmers's bluff that there will be a new stadium in the next few years because its an incredible statement to make without a shred of evidence. Its playing with the emotions of a fan base that could do without it - if Chalmers had any sort of clue what's gone on with the club he bought then you'd think he might know that.

Also in what world would the fans be privy to any future stadium build plans at such an early stage? We wouldn't. I don't understand why people are bemoaning a lack of credible future plan. Where does that idea even come from? The RFL? The organisation that have hamstrung us for a decade and suddenly we believe their rubbish? Also it is too early for the bones of any future plan to be there, never mind the meat. Chalmers seems to have at least weighed up some credible short term options for us with a view to longer term planning in the coming years. We couldn't really ask for much more than that.

Chalmers could be a cavalier, but he's our only hope.

The poster AF, formerly of this parish, asked Aaron Bower (also formerly of this parish) on Twitter last week why the issue of our last takeover and the RFLs conflict of interest hasn't been pushed more by the RL press. The answer came back that "we asked but nobody answered"....!

To me the problem with RL becoming an increasingly smaller sport is that ask even the smallest tough question, you risk losing your seat at the top table.

I do remember Ralph Rimmer coming to Odsal, expecting a heroes welcome and getting a roasting.

He hasn't been back, has he?

"If you can't (or don't want to) answer the questions, don't say owt" seems to be the resounding takeaway from the RFL and our Chairman at the moment.

It's a shambles again.

I believe there is definitely some truth to this. I seem to recall a fairly well known RL journo stating he was no longer invited to RFL press conferences as he didn't toe the line. It might of been Caplan or Hannan but don't quote me on that!

But I would guess some of these journo's rely on the rfl for their leaks on which Cubs are in special measures etc so perhaps they aren't that eager to rock the boat and ask difficult questions.

Wasn't he the first mod on here. I remember as a fresh faced 20 something Muppet spouting off about Leeds he took me to one side and told me to be nice.

And then I took over and it all went firmly downhill from there until bullseye and bulliac came.

I met the RFL yesterday and asked these questions on behalf of Pulse 2 because I believe in getting the truth for all our loyal listeners who have followed the action in 2019.

Too many Rugby League journalists are just glorified PR machines waiting for the latest press release to hit their email. It's a sad indictment of where the sport currently is.

1/ The RFL released a statement on Friday evening regarding the situation involving the Bradford Bulls and their request to temporarily leave Odsal Stadium for the Tetleys Stadium in Dewsbury. How did the non executive board arrive at the decision they made and why was it made?

2a/ The statement said the move is currently conditional on the club providing and satisfying the RFL’s need for up to date financial information. Are you able to expand on this on what areas the club need to provide more information on to get their proposed move to Dewsbury ratified?

2b/ Has Andrew Chalmers been given a deadline to provide this information?

3/ What did the RFL try and do to help to keep the Bradford Bulls in the city of Bradford. Susan Hincliffe (Leader of Bradford Council) stressed in a statement that both Bradford Council and the RFL had held numerous meetings with Andrew Chalmers and the Bradford Bulls over the past month.

4/ In the statement on Friday, the RFL confirmed that the Bradford Bulls are in special measures, what do special measures entail and how long has this been the case and what requirement is needed for these measures to lifted?

5/ With the RFL being the leaseholder of Odsal Stadium, have there been any regular ground inspections which would have flagged up the alarming decline in the facilities at Odsal?

6/ From an RFL point of view how important in a strategic sense is the city of Bradford to the growth and development of Rugby League?

7/ How do you ensure the RFL stay impartial, given the obvious conflict of interest in the ownership of Odsal.

After seeing this the last sentence rings alarm bells for me.

Why the continued silence from the club?

I'm going on Sunday but the comments from fans on that article sum up my feelings towards the administration of the club perfectly.

I'm hanging fire on buying a season ticket for next year as right now I can't get the thought of us not making it to the first match out of my head.

The only thing I would add is the continued involvement of RFL in our demise and the refusal to give that any thought by the wider rugby league community are also turning me off the sport full stop.

Ah, the good old days. I remember them, when the grass was greener, skirts were shorter, legs were longer, summers were...well maybe not [iquite[/i as hot and [iall[/i we had to do was moan about Leeds. Happy days!!

Nobody is asking what involvement big Nige had in the last appointment of owners and whether he had any personal conflict of interest.

I think the silence is because the chairman is in New Zealand and no-one else has been given leave/is prepared to stick their head above the parapet.

My gut feeling is that it's fit of pique from the RFL over the move, but who knows. The silence doesn't help, after all the times I've felt that AC has said too much he's now gone into his shell. Hopefully he'll be back before long and we can get this sorted.
