| Quote Greg Florimos Boots="Greg Florimos Boots"That is if the move really does reduce costs. The figures stated could be vastly over exagerated and its not beyond the realms of possibility that Chalmers is lying as only last week he lied about the club been in special measures despite knowing they were.'"
Forgive me- I was unaware of any specific comment from Chalmers which denied we were in special measures.
On a more general note, I sense that many on this forum are , like me,losing their love for the sport. It is still a great game but the whole of the administrative infrastructure seems to be deteriorating.
And I am struck by the contrast between the way soccer journalists have covered the recent events at Bury and Bolton and the approach of RL journalists and commentators. Whilst the former have unearthed all (or most) of the facts leading to the problems at those North West football clubs , our RL community seems awash with speculation, score settling and rumour. Not facts.
Do any of you think it might be an idea to set out a list of ,say , 10 blunt questions to establish some facts and establish who is telling the truth? I must say that I do not have much confidence that any RL journalist has the guts or the expertise to do this.

Well the way the RFL made their announcement, it just seems to be petty and looks to be calculated to cause the maximum damage to Bradford's season ticket sales.
But the RFL are not a professionally run body, so what else could you have expected from them?

Chalmers has been trying to do that since he took over Bradford. Trouble is, there's very few who'll risk rocking the boat.

| Interesting report in rugby league paper tonight, Caddick Construction have produced plans to build a 15k stadium on Richard Dunns. They have worked with Bradford Council and forged a relationship. Bradford Council mentioned this week in an interview when the Richard Dunns site is re-developed we will name something after him.

| Well it would seem the most logical of places to build a stadium. Still difficult to get too excited as we’ve seen so many ‘plans’ before that have hit the rocks.
Clearly a lot is being discussed behind closed doors, all we can do is sit tight and hope for the best. I’m sure our friends from Keighley, Halifax and Huddersfield will continue to offer their helpful advice in the meantime.

| I'm not sure why Bradford needs to continue naming the site after a bang average sports person.

If they actually ever manage to build it they can call it the 'Gary Hetherington Stadium Odslum, Home of the Belong in SL Bradford Dulls' for all I care.

The thing is, the plans previously have all been about redeveloping Odsal rather than the land over the road at Richard Dunns.
Given the state of the site, all that needs to happen is for Dunns to be closed and demolished - already in the pipeline and for a new stadium to be built on the same foundations.
You've then still got the pitch areas around the site for carparking and for use for other things such as the car boot sales that take place on the site.
In all really respects, it's an easy job. It's just getting the funding and all the other ducks in a row first that will be the tricky part

| I remember hearing on the radio a couple of weeks ago someone who has slipped my mind saying a well known developer who has built stadia in Yorkshire is in serious talks with the council and Chalmers about a new stadium.
Also interesting to hear Phil Caplan saying things are being done in the background and the obvious answer is to build a new stadium on R.D site as the council has the land and can give all permissions needed. He then smiled knowingly.
We all know this would be ideal. I would also like to see PA share a new stadium with us as I think it makes financial sense. Council would then have two old building plots to sell off and help hit their affordable house building targets.
The council has no money but they do have land and their own planning department.
Hopefully, something will come of this. Fingers crossed.

| Does anybody know exactly how much out of pocket the RFL will be ?
I know there was a “loan” against which the lease was secured but I don’t know how much it was for and if any was repaid
