| Quote Bulliac="Bulliac"If you're thinking that the move is just a big bluff then he'd best get a move on - it's already time for season tickets to be on sale. Mind, I wouldn't be shocked...'"
No, that's the worry, I don't think it's a bluff. I think we'll be at Dewsbury next season, I'm hoping the something else is in regards to financing this new stadium within 2-4 years that doesn't rely on 5k fans turning up at Dewsbury every 2 weeks because that aint gonna happen. (Ironically with me not living in Bradford Dewsbury is a lot easier to get to for me personally, but it's still wrong.)

Makes you wonder if the Bulls will have a 2020 never mind where.

| Quote Maccbull_BigBullyBooaza="Maccbull_BigBullyBooaza"I can't see how the RFL can refuse the move.
If you take the fact they have the leasehold out of it as a conflict of interest. They have approved other clubs groundsharing outside of their postcode including approving Dewsbury for Wakefield to play at in Superleague. They've set the precedent.
I agree though I don't think this is a done deal yet.
What odds on us getting the leasehold and an interest free loan from the council for improvements before the 2 years is up?'"
Dewsbury Rams is a Wakefield postcode.

| The travel isn’t the issue for me. I live near Keighley so it’s a drive whether they play at Odsal or Dewsbury. The issue is that we’re not playing in Bradford. We’d be playing in red, amber and black at Owl Lane. So Dewsbury in all but name. As Duckman says there are doubts as to whether we’d ever be able to get back.
I know the RFL has apparently set precedents in the past to allow clubs to move out of their areas but were these agreed on condition of there being some legal commitments to return?
I’ll be very interested in the RFL response to all this. It could tip things one way or the other. Admin 4 anyone?

WF postcode but Dewsbury is Kirklees Council not Wakefield. It's a bit like Skipton. BD postcode but in Craven Council area.

| If the RFL block the move, Chalmers will walk away and the club will die. No doubt some on here would blame Chalmers for that.

Not sure this is correct. Next season is when all English SL sides are forced to run reserve sides and a few clubs outside SL - including us - will be in the same reserves competition with them.

| If you disregard all that then maybe this is just a play to get the RFL to take over the Odsal upkeep. It could be. I hope so and the RFL cave in because moving the club out of the city will be the end of it.'"
I am on holiday in a couple of weeks and will miss the final home game so after 52 years I may have seen my final game at Odsal. A few tears may be shed at her passing but as much as I love the place the old girl has come to the end of her life and everyone knows including surely the RFL and the council, it is not 'upkeep' that is needed but a total overhaul i.e. effectively a new stadium on the site or, preferably for me over the road at Dunns.
I am still not convinced I will see my beloved team in a new stadium in my lifetime but for now at least, I am giving Chalmers my full backing and am excited about next season.
Maybe, just maybe, we finally have a Chairman who has a vision of where the club is going and the balls to take on the RFL.

I do apologise.
I suppose it's like people from Chickenley claiming the come from Ossett because it makes them sound a bit posher. Or people from Ossett saying the come from Horbury. Or people from Aggbrigg saying they come from Sandal.
They definitely approved Sheffield playing at Doncaster and to the best of my knowledge the Keepmoat has a DN postcode so the point still stands.
