| Is the answer not as simple as moving to Guiseley, flogging Odsal to Parkin for his trucks and using the proceeds towards a new facility?

| If we do move out and the council end up selling the Odsal site, then I have absolutely zero faith or trust in the council to put the proceeds towards building a new stadium/facility that we could use.

To be fair I don't think there is much chance of the council selling it and building a new stadium for the benefit of only 4k members of the Bradford public. It would be a different story if the council had a good reason to want us out and were trying to bribe us to leave.

| It would be ironic if the RFL were relying on Odsal as security for borrowing like we were in 2012. Especially if we left.

| The most sensible solution would be a community stadium built on the Richard Dunns site with the stadium shared between Bulls and PA. The council could then sell off both Odsal and Horsefall for development

If only all the parties involved took the sensible option every time.

| I think there would be various constraints on who the council could sell the Horsfall or Odsal sites to. For example landfill gets mentioned a lot but the proximity of those new houses makes that a non starter at Odsal. The nature of the contaminated land at Odsal might also be a stumbling block. Unless you can be sure to make the land safe you can't build houses there. Bear in mind also that there is a surplus of land in Bradford that has outline planning permission already - the developers are deliberately not building on it yet in order to maximise their financial returns. There may not be quire appetite for the land as you might think.
As for Horsfall the green space is greatly valued by local residents who would kick up a proper fuss if they were going to lose it.
As af said on the full 80mins the Odsal can has been kicked down the road for about 60 years. There have been more artist impressions of new stadia than I've had hot dinners. There just hasn't been the political will to make it happen. It's a sad indictment on Bradford that far smaller towns and cities with a far smaller sporting pedigree have managed to build much better facilities.

| I think the proximity of the motorway network would be the biggest selling point for Odsal, particularly if you're looking at industrial/commercial use and even more so if direct access to the M606 was built. I'm not sure about the toxic waste. I'm not sure just where it lies and maybe no-one else does either which would be its biggest drawback, though with controlled tipping of known, non-toxic waste on top of the ground it would likely bury the problem beneath 50m metres of 'clean' waste. It's been there for years now so you'd think any leaching away would likely have ended. I suspect that test drills might ascertain that which could be much cheaper, and probably safer, than trying to dig it out- whatever and wherever it is.

| There are still methane chimneys on the land behind the south bank.
Investment in commercial premises is at a real low at the moment, largely because of uncertainty. That's not going to change anytime soon.

| There's an advert on the back of the t&a today for Christmas bookings in the southbank. This is accompanied by the Bulls logo so i presume it's the club that is promoting this. If the club vacate the site on Sept 30th then how will they honour the bookings ?
